Its turning out pretty well, 60 years ago it was not acceptable to be an athiest in many parts of the world (including the u.s.?).

The 3rd world may be a bit stuck but this is normal as they are behind the curve in most social areas. However western countries are becoming less religious by the year, its the best possible thing that can happen.

I find nothing breeds ignorance like dogmatism does. As for arrogance: while I'll be the first to admit there's just as many on both sides, anyone who claims to be able to speak for or have a diety, the almighty creator of all things on their side, those that preach they hold a monopoly on morality and justice and that without God both cannot exist.....all of this speaks to me of a level of arrogance and willful ignorance that can never be transcended.
