I just commented on my personal experience with it. I wasn't going to buy it based off Beta Reviews but then it was a pleasant suprise for both Elann and I.

I also said "it was a breath of fresh air", not that it was the WoW Killer or a Revolution in gaming. I also agreed the combat was the weakest part of the game and that it had it's issues, specially at launch (although pretty smooth launch).

Where did I leave no room for discussion? I even agreed with some negative comments towards it (did u read the whole 12 pages of this post?)

What pisses me off is when people just make things up or put words in my mouth to make their post seem correct.

As for your comment "For people like me who wanted opinion of tsw, this thread is just a waste of time.", I do not agree on that one. There have been various opinions/reviews from different angles in this topic, specially a long one from Elann. I don't know what more you want.

It just seems like people who are "sick" of the mmorpg's are the people who never liked them to begin with.. The things they are critical of, are the very same things that are the main attraction to the said genre overall.. If we were to start using the same logic that is being used when people are constantly crying out that its a "WoW clone" for other genres like FPS's or RTS's, we would have the exact same problem in these types of games not being very different from one another.. sSubZerOo

All right, so I bought the game.

Now what I expect.

Good quest design: Because kill X Y times are extremely lame.
No classes: The class system is extremely boring, I never feel like I am my own character or that I set his destiny, he will always be hte same as the other 100 warriors.
Strong atmosphere: I wanna be immersed. Most mmos I play lack atmosphere, partly due to pathetic death penalities causing no fear of death.

What I don't expect

Sandbox elements: I bought a themepark and expect a themepark. Although I prefer sandboxes, non-WoW clone themeparks work as well.
Good combat: Most mmos have crap combat anyway, even WoW.

Edit: As for people saying the game sucks based on the beta. MMORPG.com bashed the hell out of the game when it was in Beta, but now it gets quite a fair share of praise on that very site. I never played the beta myself, but it seems like they have doen a lot to improve the game since beta.

Ur right on the ball Max, what U expect is what ur gonna get. 2 extra things ull get: 1- great sound and music...including good voice acting 2- good story too actually, some quests are great FelipeInside

I understand your thoughts completely, but the difference from beta and live were pretty significant. If your unsure wait for a trial, but dont use beta as a review of the finished product.

I see. I am not too interested in RP servers though, besides, it is way more fun to RP on normal servers. Just like it is way more fun to be dark side republic and light side imperial than the opposite alignment.
