[QUOTE="StealthMonkey4"][QUOTE="LiLEviL_187"]53 minutes until the next 24 hour countdown begins lolsamssf
24 hours was just an estimate of how long it'll take, I doubt it'll be fixed by then.
Uh, no. He's referring to the GMT time, which will hit midnight at that moment. And hopefully, the problem will then resolve itself. For now. But a patch will still be required to ensure this doesn't happen next year.[QUOTE="StealthMonkey4"][QUOTE="LiLEviL_187"]53 minutes until the next 24 hour countdown begins lolsamssf

It's a problem with the internal clock or some other problem, nothing taking apart the system will help. Just relax and wait for the official word from Sony. It's amazing how people can't go one day without their PS3, just chill and wait.
False. Many people have fixed this problem by removing and reinserting the CMOS battery. And to everyone who doesn't already know: It's NOT a problem with PSN.[QUOTE="tdogg_1990"]Hey from New York City here. They just showed this ps3 error thing on the news. They said that Sony promises it will be fixed in the next 24 hours no matter what happens after midnight. Also it is a clock bug.moonevil200You know what makes me really upset? I can deal with the wait... 24 hours? no problem, I do hope it is 24 hours from the moment it started and not from the moment they spoke to a news reporter. What I CANNOT understand is the fact that sony did not explain anything to us. Even in the US playstation homepage, until last time I checked it, there was no comment on the problem, which is ridiculous. People are doing crazy things on their PS3 because they thing they themselves must have done something to it, or maybe was a game. Sony cannot keep its customers in the dark during moments like this. Ya exactly. You know thats a good point, because people could really jack up their consoles by opening them. It sounds like sony knew something like this was going to happen and they didn't tell any of us. It just really makes me question my decision to stay with sony over the last oh I don't know like 10 years. Microsoft has had its problems to but I just thought sony was above something like this. I don't know... they've just always treated me right. I feel dirty and betrayed :(

I read the entire first post...
The statement by Sony was"We hope to resolve this problem within the next 24 hours." not "The clock will hit midnight in 24 hours and the problem will fix itself."
Sony will also no doubt have update PSN to prevent this from happening again.

I don't know why they'd really need to update PSN... unless you mean they'll need to release a firmware update for our PS3s, which they most likely will. But anyway, the point is that people are counting down to midnight GMT, cause a lot of us are speculating that the problem will resolve itself at that time.its a Emotion Engine it has feelings, it can do things sony doesnt understand. Like a mind of its own.good thing im also a minor pc gamer...... shouldnt sony know their own error codes?

False. Many people have fixed this problem by removing and reinserting the CMOS battery. And to everyone who doesn't already know: It's NOT a problem with PSN.Well, I stand corrected but I don't see why anyone would void their warranty and take apart their entire PS3 as opposed to just waiting a bit for Sony to clear things up.

wrong stealth monkey --- there is a very good chance the problem will automatically resolve itself when the GMT time is march 2nd ... that is why people keep saying 50 minutes, etc ... its march 2nd then, and that may reset or resync it properly according to people ... I'm no expert, but it makes sense that if it started automatically at a time of day, it can end the same way. Also, several people have reported that sony has the aptch ready and waiting but is waiting to see if its necessary to jam up the servers and add a patch for something that will be over in (now) 30 minutes.OK I was patient yesterday and didnt post a thing. I get home from work today and the same crap. Any real news. Anyone anticipating that we can play tonight.chubbs4uNo. Expect more news from Sony tomorrow.
hahaha!!! this thread is FUN!!!!Indeed it is. :) See? there is nothing wrong with ps3 community! we are united under these horrible for our times conditions!!!!![QUOTE="ioannisdenton"][QUOTE="mitsuhideakechi"]Lol A crap load!!!! remember dont choke the wanker, or it might fall of. ;)
