Oh damn, didn't even realize that was you. I'm like "Who's this new person with a hard-on for Fang?" Lol. But yeah, Fang is pretty cool, though Lightning's attitude and versatility still pegs her as my 2nd favourite FF heroine.

So, the only trophy I miss to plat the game is the Trophy Hunter one. The past few days I haven't been playing a lot. But every time I log in, I try farming Trapz from Adamantoise. I just wanted to ask something. If I use both a Collector's catalog and a Connoisseur catalog in my party leader do i get increased odds both for items in general AND rare items at the same time? Their effects stack or not? Because I've been using both of them lately and really I haven't seen any difference. I don't wanna waste an accessory slot. Should I just use the connoisseur catalog?

So I finished Valkyria Chronicles, all jazzed up to continue grinding towards my plat in FFXIII...and Assassin's Creed 2 caught my eye for $20. Damn good games at awesome prices, damn them to hell!

Completely awesome. I've never played a game with so much charm. I never got tired of any of the characters, was genuinelysurprised at specific story twists, and haven't been so shocked at a death in a videogame since Aerith. Poor Isara :( I really likd how Welkin, while being a rather plain dude, still felt like an iconic hero, even without a huge sword or snazzy haircut. I really enjoyed VC, I look forward to the sequel on the PSP :)

Glad you enjoyed it:) the death made me want to cry:( and when my normal comrades died i was sad too...if the game had trophies i would have platinumed it a long time ago. I wish VC2 was on PS3 but ill be getting the game regardless :D-Hoax-

Yeah, I don't allow any of my dudes to die. If one does, and an enemy gets to them before I do, I restart xD It's an old habit from Fire Emblem.

The boss in Chapter 12 is just absolutely destroying me (the one you face for the 2nd time). I've lost like 5 times in a row. I think I have the strategy down, but my characters are probably underdeveloped. I'm also at a horrible spot for grinding as enemies give crap CP.

can someone help me with the boss at the end of chapter 11? i always get him down to around 100k hp right before i die as a result of the doom timer going off.

Man, that last Cieth stone mission just kicked my butt :lol:

Let's just say I'm horribly underleveled for this guy and I'm still trying to beat it. I may just have to cut my losses and come back to it another time. The path to it isn't hard at all, but rather the fight itself.

I managed to down him yesterday. Once you're maxed out, killing him isn't too difficult. Getting five stars though, that's a different story; you really need to fight recklessly. I'd recommend going in with 4 TP at least, so if you get him staggered and you're in desperate need of healing, you can pull off a Renew instead of switching to a paradigm with Medics.

I am a noob and I have no idea how this system works. I am afraid I might waste stuff so I didn't do any upgrades & dismantle before. I am already in chapter 9 and I didn't even upgrade one weapon... Should I save them for the best weapon? Any tips would help greatly....

Save your catalysts(the crystal looking things) until you max a weapon to the point where the level becomes a star and then check which catalyst works for that item. The exp multipliers, things like sturdy bones, barbed tails, vibrant ooze (the one's that look like a X in the upgrade menu) all work to multiply the amount of experience you get from the bolts (the items that give you the most amount of experience) If your on chapter 9 then it's definitely time to start upgrading.

Got 2 trophies tonight and 5-starred a really hard mission by spamming Vanille's Death spell :P

A fight with a target time of nearly 17 minutes took me just over 3 minutes. Awesome. Doesn't compare to the one time I spammed her Death spell and beat a 30 minute fight in 11 seconds. :lol:

I need advice on two different topics - 1) How do I know which weapon is the best for every character? 2) What is the best way to earn $$? Sean2moore

1. There is no best weapon for each character really - it all comes down to personal preferences and what you use each character for mostly. You'll hear different answers from everyone - my personal picks for some of the characters were:

Fang = Taming Pole (great stats, stagger lock, but Fang's best roles really utilize the stagger gauge anyways),

Lightning = Lionheart (good stats, quick stagger is very nice; plus the homage to Squall's weapon lol),

Hope = Hawkeye (great stats),

Vanille = Belladonna Wand (good stats, great for debuffing and Death spam),

Sazh = Antares (great for staggering, good stats),

Snow = Power Circle (pretty good stats) or Sacrificial Circle (awesome stats, but lowers his HP - can be bad if he is your SEN a lot)

But like I said, I'm sure no one will agree 100% with my choices as it's just personal preference. My only advice is to not do Stagger Lock on your primary RAVs.

2. There's several aways to earn money, but it depends how far into the game you are, how leveled you are, or if you've beaten the game. Overall, the most efficient way to farm gil and Trapezohedron (what you need to upgrade ultimate weapons) is farming the big tusk turtles on Pulse (or the one on Eden in Chapter 12). They give great CP (get the Growth egg from Mission 55 if you don't already have it), can drop Platinum Ingots (150,000gil), and Trapezohedron (rare drop; they are 2million to buy in the shop, so I definitely recommend farming your own). If you aren't powerful enough to kill those bigger turtles, you can always rely on the Death spam trick. You can also farm Missions 7, 24, or 63 for various rewards that you can sell or upgrade to good accessories. There's also a spot in Chapter 12 where you can farm Cei'ths and soldiers for credit/incentive chips and perfumes which sell for decent and are high drop rates, but if you need Trapezohedrons, there's really no reason to farm anything else but the tusk-turtles.
