Sigh... Even Rask needs to show us up. :c

Not going to lie, i am fairly certain JFJ got rid of Rask solely because he was Finnish and Pogge was Canadian. Look how that turned out with Raycroft and Pogge being a f***ing major flop.

I know he is, him and Pogge WERE supposed to be our futures in net. Then the trade for Raycroft happened. v___v

I see now. I just thought by saying that "even Rask would show us up" was demeaning. But I understand that you meant it that he was once on your team.

One of the best teams in the league but hardly get any attention probably because of East Coast bias.

Here or in general. I think there is a slight bias to the East. However, in the West the Red Wings are getting more coverage and such due to recent success in the last 15 years. Not to mention that the Wild have one of the worst scoring teams in the league. Their defense is the key to their success, which isn't a bad thing but good defense in hockey and not as interesting to causal viewers.

I think there was an article in the Hockey News a few years back about the Bruins winning games, but played a much more defensive style, and people were still complaining. :p I'll try and verify that. Right now, Leafs play the Rangers in an hour. Hopefully the Leafs turn it back up a notch after the last two. I don't care about a Cup this year, I just want to see them in the playoffs again and see this city bustling during that time as well.

Eh still. I mean Crosy back, the Bruins are hot, and its a battle between the top 2 seeds in the Eastern.

I was talking more of the soft tap Bozak made on a Ranger glove that made it a 5 on 3 for them and scored to make it a one goal game, but yeah, that is also BS.

I just don't like the two south teams in our conference, it isn't the most geographically sound imo.

1 vs 4, 2 vs 3. Then whoever win those face off in the second round. then I think the champion of division a faces off against champs of B and C vs. D. Then the winners of those two face off in the finals. I think.

It's hard not to.

I'm not even a Bruins fan but denying the man's incredible play last season and this year, well, just doesn't make any sense. I remember when Barry Melrose said the Bruins have a rough season ahead of them because he thinks the "Stanley Cup hangover" will last well into halfway through this year's season. Um...

:D

Leafs got away with a couple too, but ya. Devils got away with quite a few. Hooking Lupul in a 1-on-2, high stick, slashes....tough game to lose, giving up 2 PP goals to the worst PP I've ever heard of (9 or 10 PP goals coming in, 7 SH goals allowed). Almost gave up 1 or 2. Reimer was great, got us that point tonight, team looked dead in the first.

Whatever, hopefully they pummel the Caps and Canes in their next two games. Not looking forward to a Sabres/Canucks back-to-back game, that seems like BS. Though if they get the win and against the Nucks, hopefully all the BC blowhards here will shut the f*** up already.

Not a big deal imo. I am more concerned how they bounce back. Such a long run of wins. It is important that they bounce back from losses rather than just going on long winning streaks.

I wake up and see Kaberle is a Hab, and the Leafs sold to Rogers AND Bell!?

WHAT IS WRONG WITH CANADA TODAY

Meh, I'm probably overreacting. This being said, if this deal actually goes through, Rogers owns (at least half of share) of every major Toronto sports team now.

And apparently Bell is going to sell their share they have of the Habs. But doesn't Rogers also have a hefty share invested into the Canucks?

Pretty interesting nonetheless that both major telecommunications companies TEAM UP to buy the Pension Plan's stake. That's probably what caught me off guard the most.

It will be....interesting. 2 major rival companies owning it together. Both have major sports broadcast networks in Toronto (TSN and Sportsnet), so they have to figure that out. Hopefully they just pay the bills and let Burke do his thing. And it's not just the Leafs..it's the Raps and FC I think too. And a separate group owns the Jays. They AA and Beeston) must not be happy after being told last week they can't spend as much as they thought and money is tight....but I digress. I don't see it as a great thing...or a bad thing.

Better than the Teacher's Pension Plan owning them. Like I brought up in my fresh edit, these are two big communication companies working together to have a stake in the team. I think for corporations to do that shows they have somewhat of a face to them.

I wonder what happens with Hockey Night in Canada on CBC. I know a contract is supposed to expire soon, but it would irk me to think a Saturday night game being on TSN or Snet instead of CBC. D:

I wonder what happens with Hockey Night in Canada on CBC. I know a contract is supposed to expire soon, but it would irk me to think a Saturday night game being on TSN or Snet instead of CBC. D:

I thought of that too. Will they continue to air games on something that isn't their network? I honestly don't care...all they analysts except Friedman (ESPECIALLY Healy) suck, I'll take Gord Miller, Chris Cuthbert and Ray Ferraro and the panel on TSN over everyone on CBC, even Grapes. I'll also take Joe Bowen over Jim Hughston.

I'll definitely agree to that, I only liked Cherry as a kid when I wasn't rational. :v (That being said I agree with a couple of things that I think everyone else should agree on, like no-touch icing.) And Hughson blows hard, my god.
