I need to call that guy to bust my brother  So that's 2-3 from the big bag Bravos and the loss has Kemp ejected early in the game.X360PS3AMD05Man.....I hate the Braves sometimes, but that's not taking anything away from the Dodgers. I hope the Braves avoid them in a wildcard game. (By virtue of one winning the division.)
Sucks to be you guys, the Nats are taking it so a wild card is probably it, throwing your Ace out to win one game before you start the LDS is going to hurt.X360PS3AMD05Well, it's a good thing the Braves don't really have a real bonafide ace then :P I think the Braves have a strong shot at winning the division, if they keep it close in the next two or so weeks AND if Strasburg is shut down. As I said in previous posts, I am not trying to come off as a Braves homer, but I just want to see how the Nats do without Strasburg. There is a huge difference in Strasburg and Lannan or whoever comes up to take his spot. Is it a guarantee that the Nats will falter without Strasburg? Of course not, I'd definitely be a homer if I said that. I just want to wait and see. Side story: It's still nice to see the Phillies in last place, or near last place even if it's just one bad season.
I'm starting to think Ricky Romero is the worst pitcher in the MLB this season. He sure is up there.
Billy Hamilton. 146 steals in only 120 Minor League games. Call him up, Reds! I want to see this kid pinch-running in October.
Makes me wonder if there's something going on in the Bay Area. That's 3 Bay Area players suspended in the past 4 months, in contrast there were 3 total suspenisons of all 3 players in the 3 previous years.
Mariners are 18-9 (.667) since trading away Ichiro. Meanwhile, Ichiro is hitting .312 since the trade. That's what you call an amicable split.
Did you by chance go to the game last night? Best atmosphere I've ever seen at a Mariners game.Mariners are 18-9 (.667) since trading away Ichiro. Meanwhile, Ichiro is hitting .312 since the trade. That's what you call an amicable split.

Wow,, that's a huge trade. Smart thing for Boston to do..LAD desperate to make playoffs and get better.
[QUOTE="Boston_Boyy"]
Oh god please let this happen
Fvck every single last one of those guys.
ps3theJT
God no, hopefully it doesn't go through for us like Cliff Lee deal a few weeks back. F*ck 107 million, 127 million, and 34 million left on those contract.
Looks like it's happening. Loney, Gonzalez and Punto all scratched, De La Rosa (LA prospect) sent down to get off 25 man roster.Big trade looming
The trade would represent the nexus of a windfall of television money in Los Angeles and dysfunction and disappointment in Boston. The Dodgers are set to score the biggest regional TV deal in baseball history this winter, a package that according to one high-level baseball official "will allow them to dwarf the Yankees. They've made it clear they want top major league talent and are willing to pay just about anything."
I have a feeling that they're really going to try (and get) Cliff Lee in the offseason. Didn't work out now, but a winter trade is very possible.
If this goes happens, then maybe the Dodgers are the one from the prophecy. The team that would bring balance to the Force. AL/NL, East/West. With Boston being Anakin and the Dodgers being their offspring!!! :o:D:P I know, I know. I got carried away!!!!!!Not much of a beisbol fan, but Yankees west?

Sounds more and more like it. They might as well though, if you're gonna make a $2B investment you might as well do all you can to make it successful. Not much of a beisbol fan, but Yankees west?

About the super deal:
This whole trade is as high risk, high reward if I have ever seen one.
Huge series coming up in Pittsburgh. (When's the last time you could say that sentence with a straight face?)
Ozzie Guillen bats Stanton 5th  X360PS3AMD05
It's not that he bats 5th, he just bats 5th with no one to protect him. He should be batting 3rd or 4th, but Carlos Lee doesn't exactly strike fear into opponent's hearts. I'd do this:
1. Bonifacio (when he returns)
2. Reyes
3. Lee
4. Stanton
5. Ruggiano (he has pop and just continues to hit for some reason)
6. Dobbs
7. Solano
8. Buck/Brantly
Last year, only 5 pitchers tossed at least 3 complete game shutouts over the entire season. Felix Hernandez has 3 this month.

I love King Felix. I've always liked the Mariners, too.
If Miami decides not to extend Stanton in the near future I might switch allegiances to Seattle
 A series win. Against NY. I am shocked.
In probably pointless news, Joe Mauer cleared waivers and has until Friday at midnight to be traded. Doubt anyone actually gets him...he still has 6 years and 138 million left, and a ton of heath concerns.
My vote goes to Joe West. But they're both awful.I don't know who's more douchey, C.B. Bucknor or Joe West.

It was a revocable trade waiver, which means nothing. It's a procedural thing that all teams do to gauge the value of their rosters. Pretty much every player in the league has been placed on revocable trade waivers multiple times in their career. Some teams put their entire rosters through revocable trade waivers on an annual basis.

Oh I know that. It doesn't shock me that named like Lee, Hernandez, Bautista and others were on it, and claimed. Might as well see if anyone offers something ridiculous for someone. But the fact he cleared waivers..I guess it is the normal thing. It wasn't shocking or anything, I just thought maybe a team bites and takes that contract from the Twins. He's had a pretty good year. I know if you're claimed, like Beckett and AGon were, that's where you have like 72 hours or something to work out a: trade, give him for nothing, or pull him back and not being able to put him back on that yearAnyone see Bobby V's comments today on WEEI?

I'm now convinced he will not be back next year. There's no way they can keep him..is there?
