[QUOTE="NoodleFighter"][QUOTE="rjdofu"] About the same? Prove it.rjdofu
Considering each of them have different customization options/standards you can't exactly get a spot on comparison
I found two closely specced laptops between the M17x and Sagers offerings
http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?page=product_customed&model_name=NP9370
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?oc=dkdwgy2&model_id=alienware-m17x-r4&c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19
they have same power specs wise but everything else I'm not sure about
the M17x uses a slot load drive which cost more than regular ones and they use intels wifi offerings
I switched the wifi adapter/bluetooth reciever in the sager to something more comparable to the M17x which has a Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230 With Bluetooth 4.0
I put in the sager a Killer Wireless-N 1202 802.11 A/B/G/N Wireless LAN + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Module to make it more comparable but it made cost $50 more
The M17x I used cost $1879
the Sager cost $1749
everything else I'm not sure about like battery life, size/dimensions, weight, cooling, etc.
Well then you should put a better hard drive for the m17x as well. As for the sager, put in another $200 (total 1899) and you can get a GTX 680M, still a way better deal.I would of if I could but their only 750gb option includes a 128GB mSATA Boot Drive which increases the price more and ends up containing more than the Sager. I'll give you that on getting a cheaper option, I notice the sager has a better GTX 680m option which is 4GB GDDR5 and $200 while the M17x option is $350 and is 2gb GDDR5
