[QUOTE="slipknot0129"]Cant buy a case like the x51. lol people would pay over $300 if they could buy the x51 case. Its better looking than any case ive seen out there.Â

As I said, opinion. And you actually can buy cases like the x51, just without the logo. It's not special. Just a small form factor case, with some lighting, and an alien head logo.
Also, most smart people would opt to get significantly more power, for even less money, if they knew the look of the case was the only benefit of this particular model. Seriously, what are you doing? Playing games, or looking at your tower with one hand on your crank and one on the box of kleenex?
I loved the design of the Xbox 360. To me the x51 is like if Alienware made an Xbox console. Its so awesome that I can clean my case out so easily and it looks like brand new every day. I like how the power supply has no fans so thats even less dust going into my system.ÂWhat makes it even better is theres nothing else out there like the x51. I can safely say that. Until they come out with something like the x51 I could build on my own, my purchase was worth every penny.Â

Falcon northwest is too pricey, the ibuypower REvolt is basically it's only true competitor, what I like about the ibuypower revolt is that it comes with a lot more customization plus you could basically buy the default system and then plop in any GPU you want

Dude's a perfect example of Alienware's target customer. Knows nothing about shopping around for a decent price, and even less about tech. Just goes to the store, finds the flashiest looking thing there, and drops whatever it costs, probably not even knowing what's in it.
Alienware caters to the person who knows about computers but wants something different in design and style. The x51 is way different than any gaming pc you could build.ÂWhat are you talking about, it's design is very poor. There's plenty of best case out there.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Irrefutable proof that you are not a "person who knows about computers". If you were, you would know the x51 is no different from any other PC, except for its case. And whether or not the case is "cool" is subjective; just a matter of opinion. And, in  my  opinion (and the opinions of many others), Alienware's cases look cheap and tacky. I can buy a way more badass looking case on newegg for less than $100.
:lol::lol: Seriously, that sh!t is sig-worthy. Â "The x51 is way different than any gaming pc you could build"....... funny stuff, dude.

[QUOTE="bobbetybob"]Their desktops are overpriced but their laptops and the X51 aren't too bad (at least not here in the UK) considering what's in them. rjdofuTheir laptops are overpriced as hell considering what sager/msi/lenovo offers, specwise.
Not really, have you ever actually priced a sager notebook? They are usually the same and make you pay extra to gaurentee no dead pixels.Â
Alienware's laptops are not as overpriced as people think. Sure they are more expensive than Asus Gamer republic, but those have about the worst quality screens I have seen. The viewing angles are absolutely horrible. the 1080p screens on the Alienware laptops have pretty decent viewing angles.
And yes, for desktops are more expensive than building your self, and if you don't think they should be then you should try owning a business, and then you realize you aren't making a profit and can't pay the bills, your employees and make a living, then you will realize about BUSINESS. They are usually 300-500 more, and for the people who don't know build a PC then they pay the extra for SOMEONE else to do it.Â
I don't know how to build a car and I don't care to ever learn, so I will go to a Car Dealer and BUY a car even though it's gonna be more expensive than building my car. Same goes for fixing it too, I'm taking it to a shop.
Ultimately, people need to learn people need to work for a living and charge extra for the things they can do, becuase they just can't charge you for the parts and still make a living. SERVICES ARE NOT FREE!!! I wish people would learn this. I'm sure you would love to go rake your whole neighborhoods leaves for free.
Damn! That iBuyPower Revolt is slick as hell. Is that a custom chasis or can you buy it seperately?Â

Did you just compare building a PC to building a car? :| Something as simple as a few hours research + matching a few pieces together is not the same as building a whole freakin car (which is directly related to your safety). Even when comparing prebuilt models (laptop), Alienware still comes as more expensive. Wow, you hermits are getting more sensitive by the day. Not only are you a crybaby, you are a nonsensical one at that. He's been doing a great job of being a b!tch about a lot of things tonight.
The alienware x51 isnt bad it's not limited to 240 watts or 330 watt dell external psu.
You can plug a regular atx powersupply into the video card.

That's just the damn intergrated gpu running crysis 3 lol muchless when you actually add your own card have badass gaming pc.
Overprice.rjdofuPretty much. I don't mind Alienware computers and I like Dell stuff - it's generally solid quality from what I've used and my UH-whatever 23" IPS monitor is the best monitor I've owned for absolutely everything - gaming to photoshop, and their warranty service was the best I've ever dealt with. Otherwise Alienwares, if people want to spend excessively, fine. I only know three people with Alienware computers - two laptops and one desktop owner, and all of them chose them without being bothered by the price.
