Yeah, but most games on 360 and PS3 aren't HD. If all games on WiiU at least have 720p, then I'd say it is the first console that does HD all the time.

Well, it's entirely up to each individual developer whether or not a game will be above or below 1280x720. If a developer needs more resources later on in the Wii-U's life, they'll have to make sacrifices. You can't really assume that every single developer will shoot for 720p.
I know I joke around a lot when it comes to the Wii-U, but yeah....:P
[QUOTE="Tikeio"]

Even if 720p was "true HD" by your definition, it still wouldn't make the Wii-U the first "true" HD console. The 360 and PS3 already achieved that. And there are even a small number of 1080p games on the HD twins.

720p is considered true HD in it's lowest form, 1080p is FULL HD. It goes by resolution and the ammount of lines/pixels across the screen.High-definition is defined as any resolution higher than standard-definition. Yes, the term is usually used when referring to content at 1280x720 or higher. But that's not necessarily a definite standard.
And as far as your last sentence goes, you're preaching to the choir.
