[QUOTE="WiiCubeM1"][QUOTE="captainqwark20"] Zelda got 7.5 and flopped. Mario Kart is a LEADING RACING SERIES??////////////////// One game with great sales and people go crazy for the series. Also your last point is wrong, have you seen DS sales? You think Pokemon had something to do with the DS? Wrong. What about the 3DS? Wrong. Gameboy Color and Gameboy were 4 gens ago.captainqwark20
I know, I know, I get your mentality. I think in the broader sense, not in the now. But when you ask people, especially non-gamers, about games they think of when you mention a certain genre or just video games in general, they will usually jump to Nintendo and it's franchises. Nintendo is the name people think of when they think handheld gaming, and Pokemon is still the bst selling RPG series of all time, and the last Pokemon games were major sellers on the DS, with each generation selling over 10 million copies, DP selling 17 million.
Mario Kart selling 12 million on the DS and 13 million on the Wii says "major" to me. Especially when compared to the best selling GT on the PS3 this gen was 7 million (the PS3's best selling game) and the best selling Forza was 5 million
Also, last time I checked, "fastest selling Zelda" in it's first week isn't a flop, especially when it sold roughly the same amount of copies in 2 months as each entry in the Uncharted series did. In fact, bundled with Twilight Princess, it sold roughly the same amount copies than all 3 Uncharted did.
All is Saw was you comparing Uncharted sales to Zelda sales and I lost you from that point on and all words above it vanished. Except Mario kart having 1 good gen, which also is possible because it was BUNDLED.Mario Kart DS sold roughly 12 million before it was bundled (turns out it's selling number is actually 20 million), and Mario Kart Wii sold 7 million worldwide its first year, and was bordering 20 million by the time it was bundled with the Wii (final sales numbers I can find were 31 million).
If you can't bother to read my post as you find it stupid or fanboyish, just don't answer back. I still read all posts I respond to, even if they piss me off and have no actual thought put into them. If this little exchange proved anything, it's that even when I use outdated sales numbers, they still sold better and you are just using fanboy techniques to ignore logic.
Also, Mario Kart has been selling better with each gen, and it has always sold well.
