You are also completely wrong about nostalgia, Twilight Princess was the first 3D Zelda game I owned and I didn't like it for nostalgia, I didn't play through most of Wind Waker at least 3 times because of nostalgia, almost beat the game and my save file corrupted, still played it again. Mario sunshine was the first Mario game I EVER owned, and it was great. If anything, nostalgia works against Nintendo. Super Mario Sunshine was a great Mario game, and game in general, but people complained how it wasn't as good as 64, and how the camera sucked, but Sunshine's camera and controls are miles ahead of 64. I can't stand to play 64 it is so bad. "Prime isn't as good as Super Metroid."

Nintendo is the name people think of when they think handheld gaming, and Pokemon is still the bst selling RPG series of all time, and the last Pokemon games were major sellers on the DS, with each generation selling over 10 million copies, DP selling 17 million.

Mario Kart selling 12 million on the DS and 13 million on the Wii says "major" to me. Especially when compared to the best selling GT on the PS3 this gen was 7 million (the PS3's best selling game) and the best selling Forza was 5 million

Also, last time I checked, "fastest selling Zelda" in it's first week isn't a flop, especially when it sold roughly the same amount of copies in 2 months as each entry in the Uncharted series did. In fact, bundled with Twilight Princess, it sold roughly the same amount copies than all 3 Uncharted did.

How is this even remotely bad news? Am I seriously the only one who has been getting aggravated by how many console games tend to run at 30 fps max? Performance should almost always be a greater priority than visual quality, IMO.

Also, this is Nintendo we're talking about. It's a company that's known for creating very competitively priced video game systems so I don't exactly know where this huge surprise is coming from.

I would be disappointed if the PS4 appears to be underpowered. But it will of course be more powerful than PS3 and it will get decent exclusives - that's all that matters. I will buy PS4 in day 1, no matter what.

Mario Kart DS sold roughly 12 million before it was bundled (turns out it's selling number is actually 20 million), and Mario Kart Wii sold 7 million worldwide its first year, and was bordering 20 million by the time it was bundled with the Wii (final sales numbers I can find were 31 million).
