we are crying because of parity, which is different. If a console can do slightly better then let it do slightly better. Where was parity early last gen when the PS3 was under-performing? Sony most likely didn't have deep enough pockets to pay for it.

I'm still thinking it might be the xbone getting an upgrade ala Destiny or Diable, than the potato 4 getting downgraded. Obviously, both make sense, considering the PS4 is mroe powerfull than the xb1. Shown by the 180p difference is almost every game

In the end, DF analyzes will be a better measure. If the xbox suffers crush blacks again, or inferior textures and effects, or a more unstable frame rate, it can be assumed it's an upgrade.

The whole parity thing is making people just. These companies are so vague about everything nowadays it's fucking annoying. It's like Rise of the Tomb Raider all over again and how many still assume it'll come to Playstation because they said timed.

Still, lol peasants fighting over 1080p again.

Fuckin blows my mind. The sense of entitlement of gamers is above any of the major entertainment industries. And it can be solved so simply. Just don't buy the game. Don't buy any Ubi game. Unlike most here, i couldn't care less for the parity thing. Sure, i think devs should try to take full advantage of each platform, but as long as the version i'm playing reaches my expectations, i'm ok with it.

The problem is that 1080p should e mandatory this generation. If the game can not handle x number of npcs and effects while running at 1080p, then the solution (at least for me) is to cut on everything but resolution.

Most gamers already invested on full HD screens. Games, this gen, should take advantage of it.

Nope, but let's be honest. They cut a co-marketing deal and they delay ACU two weeks (hope they sort out the jaggies in that time) to take pressure off Sunset Overdrive and this pops up. Bit of quid pro quo here - "we'll scratch your back, you scratch ours." It's business.

It's not a conspiracy theory, breh. It's business. They won't want one of the biggest franchises of the year potentially hiving off sales of their exclusive new IP and politely ask Ubi for a little leeway considering the millions they're pumping into marketing the game for them.

The Division was delayed because it wasn't ready like Watch Dogs wasn't. Both delays were longer than two weeks.

I'd ask you to stop and think too but I'd be worried you'd do yourself an injury if you tried.

yep, its been quiet for Xboxone exclusives for much of the year, but the PS4 has faired no better either when you really look at it.

Along with all the multiplats that are coming out, MCC is an awesome package, even hardcore cows will admit it, Xbox one gamers are in for a great last few months of the year

I did. It would and it wouldn't. October and November is already packed out before the lucrative Black Friday shopping period. It makes more sense for Ass Creed to release alongside Halo (which are both strong enough to perform alongside each other) than if Ass Creed smothered MS' shiny new IP.

Just as well they're having a decent October/November, the rest of the year hasn't been much cop.

You keep talking about resolutions and gpu still not mentioning the low clocked high latency, low bandwidth cpu.

I said a long time ago that Sony didn't use any offloading or accelerators and that's what's going to be the down fall of the machine moving forward.

CAN'T upclock the cpu any more.

Never going to be able to fix the bandwidth problem to the cpu.

Ms on the other hand has plenty of offloading and accelerators on the xbox, from Shape, swizzle compressing/decomp., moving AI, and sky boxes to the cloud.

Really? Even though PC is yet to get a proper next gen port? It's still yet to see a game that is freed from the shackles of PS3/360. So I'd say the PS4/XB1 is going to enhance the PC's visuals in games if anything. See AC Black Flag vs Unity.

I agree that we have not yet seen a proper next-gen multiplat on pc but there are several pc exclusives that do things that's not found in any console games as well, like advanced RTSs and war sims that have great graphics all things considered and a shitload of things going on at the same time. So far I'm not seeing any huge improvements in the console exclusives other than better graphics and higher polygon density. I was expecting considerably larger worlds, great improvements in AI and destructible environments, things that would actually take the gameplay to a new level.
