Best looking console game of this generation Poll

So, as the current generation of consoles embrace their twilight years, here we vote to find out which game is likely to represent the pinnacle of graphics achievment from our beloved PS3 and Xbox360. Game candidates can be anything from the start of this gen to the lattest showing of E3 2012, but remember this is exclusively for consoles, no PC games or multiplatforms running on a PC, so when you choose, please use medias represent the console build only.

Since some lemmings claim this to be a troll poll so I updated it slightly which is now more true to reality.

So, My personal candidate for CGKOTG "Console Graphics King of the Generation" is God of War Ascension. The reason is simple, SSM has improved on everything from GOW3 "arguably the best looking console game by many" including lighting, blend animation, textures, cloth tech, hair and physics, what's shown in E3 looked amazing and their titan gameplay should be insanely pretty once we see them. GOW has always been about over the top epic setpieces and this would maximize the graphical awe on top of the technical brilliance. Show me what's yours:).

I finally got myself an HD tv last month (I know I'm late) and the game that improved the most by far in the visuals department was Rayman Origins. I'd have to say that's the most visually stunning game I've seen this gen and it runs in 1080p at 60 fps

the poll...we are using games that aren't released now? I thought sony fans would know better than that.

if we have learned anything from xbox fans it's that we can't make declarations on the final outcome of graphics before release. or it could be that some of those guys are really desperate to hype anyting to be better than PS3 top contenders.

Either way you shouldn't lable "best looking comsole game..." on games that haven't released yet. They may be as impressive as they appear to be now or they could turn out like Alan Wake and RAGE.

Im going to go with God of War III. An odd choice Im sure and the game is inconsistent but at its best it truly is a picture come to life. Not realistic but artistically breath-taking, and I truly feel SSM will put all the stops in making GOWA the most gorgeous looking game on consoles.

The irony here is that none of the those games are photo realistic... very few games actually go for a photo realistic look.. crysis doesn't even do it anymore.

Killzone 3 should be on that list, probably in place of Gears 3. Anyway, I'd probably go with The Last of Us.

I bet none of the games in the poll are gonna look as good as they seem. It's the case with every game released this gen, they show awesome graphics in screen shots and trailer and it turns out to be crap. Even the Luminous Engine tech demo which is supposedly in real time is fake, it's simply CGI. Only Battlefield 3 on PC has yet to disappoint.

Anyone who answers Gears are people who don't have a PS3. The game looks good, it looks great, but it's not anywhere close to matching those PS3 games. Everyone but the most delusional Xbox fanboy would agree.

Killzone should have been in your poll btw, that looks jaw dropping, and it plays as great as it looks!

Crysis on consoles was very diffferent from the PC version graphically, a lot of people seem to think that it showed off console powers, but the truth is it doesn't. It wasn't anything like the PC version graphically.

They did say that, but they later said they were wrong when they started working on TLOU and found out just how much power the PS3 has. That screen the otherguy showed is captured from the E3 one, not a private one. He is just a pissed off hermit.

Cows can never handle the reality of direct feed shots. That looks on par with Crysis 2 and Gears 3, and is the pinnacle of ND's abilities on the PS3.
