please take note....dont shoot old ass refridgerators....they were thick ass metal...my brother was shoot it upclose with ak-47 well legal version mac-90 semi automatic...wasnt armor piercing arounds...just your regulars...but that **** fragmented and hit my brother in the side....cut him open...but it didnt go inside him.

shooting/strafing is terrible in crysis feels to sloppy.

i hate the stupid sights.

doom3's better....strafe jumping/bunnyhopping >>flat footed halo jumping.

Plus the guns are more accurate in doom3...plus rocket jumping let's you get to higher places than strength mode on crysis.

Hell even the card im using now 8600 GTS 256 mb can run crysis on high 1280x1024.

The 8800 GT i have hits 70c just idling on desktop, unless i set fan speed manually to 80% fanspeed and it will idle at 60c or something...i need to apply some new thermal compound and get a better fan/aftermarket for it.

Nope.

I have to agree with sadikovic. If you are playing Crysis on high at 1280*1024 than your franerate must be really low. Even if it is overclocked. I think you must have a high tolerence for lag.

even 15 fps is playable is crysis...but 8600 gts 256 mb 1280x1024- 20-25 fps.

FRAPS doesn't take up very much in system resources. It takes up about 5MB of RAM and a little bit of processing power. If FRAPS was such a hog very few people would use it. It doesn't matter, playing Crysis on high with an 8600GTS will be enough to kill your FPS without help from FRAPS.

8600 gts 256 mb=20-30 fps average.. on all high 1280x1024 will drop down around 15 fps sometimes...all im saying it's playable....have you people even tested one? own one? i have a bfgtech 8800 GT 512 mb and a bfgtech 8600 GTS 256 mb.

Dude....even the lowest framerates feel smooth in crysis it's just the way it is.

and yes the 8600 gts 256 mb muchless 512 mb can run it at playable framerates at all high 1280x1024.

of course it's gonna slowdown sometimes ...because it's not the most highend card even highend cards do ...but you can play beat the game on 1280x1024 playable on high with a 8600 gts 256 mb.

it's not a slideshow....the 7800 GTX i had died and bfgtech sent me a 8600 gts to replace it....the 7800 gtx couldnt even play crysis total chopfest like 5 fps same settings.

Dude no, 15 fps is not smooth at all. It has to be at least 40 MINIMUM, 60 is preferrable, but I play most of my games with 85+ FPS.HenriH-42

Seriously, try running the game on the lowest settings so that you get 60+ framerate. It just feels a lot more fluid. I for one don't care about the graphics one bit, as long as the game runs smoothly.

But ah, whatever. If you feel that 15-20 framerate feels smooth... then good for you! You're not yet spoiled by 60-85 FPS like I am. :D

I don't see whats so special about the game other than the graphics. This was one of the few PC games I've been looking forward to taking advantage of my quad core, yet I dunno.. Its a quality game but doesn't bring ANY amount of innovation outside of visuals.. I mean even COD4 seems to have more 'fun' factor.WillieBeamish

20FPS with highest motion blur turned on combined with VERY HIGH mouse DPI(you gotta have a gaming mouse for that) and crysis certainly feels smooth.

What many people are not getting is that you gotta have a high sensitivity mouse(and should run in high sensitivity) to make crysis smooth with 15-20FPS.
