Actually it should be "Sheep buy a worse tv" My Wii games look blurred and jaggy on my 40 inch 1080P Samsung but I still enjoy them. If I had a SD tv they would look fine. I would suggest that other sheep without an HD tv buy one for the Wii U..:)

My TV doesn't do 1080p and I really don't care that much. There are only a handful of games on modern consoles that actually utilize that resolution. I'd much rather spend the money I'd use to buy a new TV to get a 1440p monitor or a better audio set-up for my PC, something that'll actually get utilized.

why xbox and ps3 fanboys ( specially these basement dwellers) are so obsessed with 1080p n 60fps? non of their best game run at this resolution...only crappy arcades or psn games.

I would but, you know, gaming isn't exactly something I should be spending all my money on. Especially when I literally don't care for graphics. A 720p TV can handle my 360, so I see absolutely no reason to upgrade.

He might have a good 720p TV. There are still a lot of new plasmas/LED TVs releasing that are 720p that will beat that Dynex. Resolution isn't everything if the TV is total ass.

Although I do think next gen consoles ought to be 1080p 30/60fps standard, PCs and even tablets are at that resolution (or higher). Over the next 5-6 years I imagine even phones will be operating at that resolution.

HDTV's in 1080p are NOT nearly 1000 dollars unless someone wants to be a complete douche and buy the most expensive brand which would be the same as any brand HDTV; of course considering the difference of refresh rate and such.

And if you're gaming just fine on your CRT playing Wii...well...Duh! Wii's only 480p with tricks to upscale it to 1080i. This would mean that on a CRT, it would be right at home and even better in progressive scan mode.

I'm planning to buy Assasin Creed 3 in december and some other game.I do own witcher 2 which is amazing.I only mostly interested in halo4 and battlefield 3 for shooters.
