Pc looks always better and sometimes a lot better but when I boot my pc, I know there's more to be done than just putting the dvd in the drive and press play before I can start playing especially when I want to play on my tv.

The 2 cores is still only being taken from the Shadowfall slides, it's not been confirmed anywhere at all.

It's not really modding, they restriced a lot of settings even on very high. When the game came out, to run it at very high you needed already four 8800 gtx and one card was like 600$. Increasing light beams and reducing pop in doesn't  seem like modding to me because they all did that to save performance. But if your talking semantics.. fine by me if that's modding to you.

Since when is the PS4 close in power to an $800 PC? The point is, you pay more for the PS4 than the Wii U, but you get a stronger system that can do more things. Likewise, you pay more up front to get a decent gaming PC than to buy a PS4, but you get a stronger system that can do a hell of a lot more than a PS4.

If price was the only consideration in deciding what game system to get, you would be a Wii U owner.

I'm not saying that Sony can force you to pay for their online service, but we can say unequivocally that if you want to play online you have to pay $50 a year for the priviledge. Online gaming is a huge part of modern gaming and the vast majority of gamers are going to want to game online.

Why compare PC prices now to a yet unreleased console? Shouldn't the comparison be made after the next-gen consoles have released. At least project how much the current PC prices will drop by the time the next-gen consoles release.

And the 7870 xt isn't that much faster than the gtx 480 especially at stock.

And even at stock clocks, the game is still fully playble on max settings with 4xMSAA, drivers improved the GTX 480 massively since it's release.

The graph you put here, is the launch of the GTX 480 way back in 2010.

The GTX 480 shares the same features as the GTX 580, just clocked lower with 32 shaders less.

You're arguing about semantics and you're mixing up stock and overclocked cards. What is run and don't run, If i play crysis on 720p maxed out, then I get decent framerates, is 900p still ok? that depends what you call ok, It will feel sluggish at least, and 1080p is just plain lag.

The point is I wrote this post because of the difference between consoles and pc's. Funny that you mention the gtx 480 because that's about the same performance the gpu in the ps4 will have, the 7850. A 200$ card. It can max crysis out, if you overclock it and have the latest drivers.

Crysis was a pc game released in 2007 and the ps4's gpu is already on the tip of it's toes to handle it.

So yeah, what the op said is just bullcrap and that was the point I was trying to make.
