[QUOTE="jun_aka_pekto"][QUOTE="Slimmin360"]The latest and greatest PC's and Consoles both run games in 1080p at 30 to 60 fps, do they not? Slimmin360
True except PC gamers have had it for a while. Console gamers still have to wait until the end of the year.Okay well anyone who knows anything about PC hardware knows that graphics cards with 2gb or more are not yet being utilized by software as of now
A number of games have gone past 1Gb VRAM usage for me and I'm still onluy at 1080p. I recall Far Cry 3 started that trend for me. If you go past 1080p, then you'll need a video card with as much VRAM it can hold.
very few games require much more than a 2-ghz single or dual core processor to run games, PS4 will have 8 cores. So even the most inexperienced hardware person will see the PS4 is coming to the table with much more hardware then is typically needed to run even the most advanced games.
Most newer games I've seen on the PC now recommend quadcores to get the best performance (in addition to RAM and GPU requirements). Again, Far Cry 3 was the first for me although BF3 may have also been optimized for quadcores.
None of you have to believe me read your system requirements on your retail game boxes and see for yourself how accurate these above statements are.
My games that recommend quadcores or better and at least 3Ghz:
Far Cry 3
Metro Last Light
Hard Reset
Crysis 3
I'm sure others have more.

Points taken but you would agree that the majority of games do not require ultra hardware specs to be able to run them correct? Knowing that,,,The PS4 is coming out with well more hardware than the majority of games will demand for at least the next 10 years...that's my point.Â
Ten years of PSN is $500. Â So its 400 + 500 = $900 to play your console over the next 10 years. Â Add $50 bucks for a second controller and its $950. Â
Â
For $1000 you could build a PC vastly superior to the PS4 and be done with it. You will be able to run whatever multiplat game the PS4 will ever have. Â And in 2 or 3 years you can get a PS4 for dirt cheap and enjoy it's exclussives. Â If you can come up with the upfront money PC gaming is a little cheaper over all. Â Because you are paying 30 to 40 for games new vs 60 on console and online is free. Â Both are expensive hobbies. Â Consoles value are in their exclussive games and PC value are in more games, better graphics and performance, cheaper games, less fees, etc. etc.
