If a game is a good game, it shouldn't matter what age you are when you play it. Many games appeal to a variety of age groups, and that is OK. Your maturity shouldn't feel threatened just because the characters don't look serious enough for your friends.mrfokken

Morgan Webb says a lot of crap to garner attention and nerd rage, but in the end they usually give good games an automatic 5/5.

She's been mouthing off on Skyward Sword too, calling it too kiddy, that the motion controls are tacked on, that the artstyle sucks, and the typical flamebait you'd expect from anti-Zelda trolls. She's just doing it for attention, I guarantee.

Gotta disagree, I still consider DKC1 to be the best in the series. I haven't played DKCR extensively so I don't know, but from what I've played at Best Buys and whatever, shaking the remote to roll felt very non-intuitive and tacked on. As someone who grew up with DKC1 and 2, not letting me press a button to roll is a massive slap in the face.princeofshapeir

I agree with the tackiness of the wiimote shake. That's DKCR's biggest flaw, and only flaw, actually. Retro did an AMAZING job with the level design in the game, rivaling if not outright surpassing Rare's work in the old trilogy.

As for DKC1 being the best... no. :P DKC2 > DKC1 :o

If anything Edge is the harshest of reviewers.. Video games are insanely inflated now a days.. Its getting to the point that even a 8.0 is a huge disappointment that a person won't buy it.

I am sure Zelda SS will be good, in fact it will be the first time I play something not named Brawl on Wii for the last 2 years. I just think I will wait for Eurogamer or Gamespot to review before I go trusting their review scores.

Actually that doesn't prove anything at all. EDGE and GS don't review the same games. EDGE has a much more limited space to produce reviews so it is not going to review the same games that GS do. To prove that EDGE are just as 'lenient' as other publications you would have to compare the review scores of individual games, rather than the total scores the magazine releases.
