A little bit after pong came out when people started wanting a story not just gameplay...

having a story isnt the same thing as being a game with more cutscenes then gameplay

but it doesnt have more cut scenes than gameplay. That would just be ridiculous. Saying that seems to contradict the other reviews thus far. Hes just sayin there were a whole lot of them. I really doubt its to be taken literally. Unless the reviewer played only the first 10 min.

I find that hard to believe when i played 11 hours of MGs3 gameplay.

well at GS, it is. because the scores are based on .5 unlike the past when it was based on .1, a .1 can be the difference between a 9 and a 9.5.

Even more good news for MGS fans. MGS4 is sounding more and more like MGS2 (a.k.a. Kojima's greatest masterpiece).

They're all masterpieces, but let's face it, MGS3 was filler. MGS2 is Kojima's golden child. Before MGS4, he's never put so much effort into a game. The game oozes epicness, and MGS3 drowns in that ooz.

Metal Gear Solid is a masterpeice, excellent story, pacing, gameplay. Not to mention Solid Snake. You know...the "Solid" in Metal Gear Solid.

I wonder if all the MGS 4 haters know that you can skip through the cutscenes.:|kool-aids

But can you make it so that they don't happen at all so as not to interrupt your gameplay?

EGM is Based on the .5 System its basically rounds off on all scores.

I Prefer the .1 System myself but with the fact that EGM is a Core Gamer Magazine it comes down to the which is more simple for people to understand.

I don't care really, the game could have gotten all B- from them and I will still get it, I rarely read a reviews.

As I see it, Ninja Gaiden 2 Action is a Supplement to Metal Gear Solids 4 Story ;)

Both balance out each others flaws out perfectly.

It could be a tie, because and A + is a + higher than an A, A- is a push, and an A- is one away from a B+.

So i guess that means they scored the same, of course, going by normal logic.

I was not really worried about NG2. Sometimes you just see gameplay vids that impress you to no ends and that what NG2 did.

Well, I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear that Kojima once said in an interview that Raiden is his favorite character ever in MGS.

Oh, and Solid Snake is in MGS2. If you actually pay attention to the story you would know why Raiden is in the game, and the main character. It wouldn't make any sense to place Solid Snake at the heart of MGS2.

Whats the point in playing the game then.

Play it. You know without at least so many interruptions, besides the camara my biggest complaint of MGS3 was the cutscenes, they interrupt the gamepaly many times, there are ways to put cutscenes in the game where they actually help the game move along but in MGS3 it was just too much really, if it's anything like that in MGS4 I can see how that's a con.

OMFG. NG2 has a New Game + mode. I did not know that.

Another important thing that I'd like to note is unlike the previous Ninja Gaiden, in Ninja Gaiden 2 once you've completed the game on a difficulty level with all your weapons, you'll be able to start a new game on the same difficulty and keep all those weapons. So if there's a weapon you haven't got until later on in the game and you want to use it right away you'll be able to do that in the second play through. We think that really helps with replay value as well.Games Radar

This and the video mode is so much win. Just so much absolute win.

I am looking forward to MGS4 because I really want an awesome exclusive for my ps3. But I despise long winded cut scenes.

Still a day one purchase though.
