It still doesnt matter, what are you not getting? That ammount of money was way over expectations, it was way past the needed ammount, the ammounts of the previous games on consoles and Unreal's great success on the PC was more than enough to tide them over, it still would of been better for them to place it on both, but what is done is done.

Now theyre causing beef with M$, EPIC made the FPS genre what it is today, competitive, and high quality, M$ knew this and wanted them badly.

Epic knew the success of xbox live and halo2 which is why they decided to go with xbox 360 its not like microsoft forced them to make a game for the 360. Epic knew that if they did they would profit big time and thats what happend

Why would they even focus with online in the first place, and link me where epic stated that they rushed the online cause its hard to believe. If you even played gears of war you would know how tactical and fun the online is, it did look like they put alot of effort on online especially when they went through the trouble of adding online coop but you wouldent know anything about that. They based the entire game on coop play and online play. Clibby B even stated that halo 2 was an inspiration for gears of war

They don't need to pay through the teeth until a couple of years when GeOW 3 is coming out. They have an exclusivity contract for the first 2.

i doubt you own a 360 plus im not defending microsoft i dont like what there doing with the whole charging for maps but you have to understand it as a bussniess point of view the fact is that microsoft is a corporation and corporations main goal is to make money for there stock holders

Actually, from a non-fanboy's point of view, it's called HAVING A PERSONAL OPINION. Not everyone is going to agree with YOU. I am more of a single player campaign player, and I thoroughly enjoyed Resistance more, not only because it was LONGER, but I enjoyed the weapon selection better as well.

You prove how shallow and narrow minded you are by trying to slap a label on someone just because they hold a different opinion than yourself on a VIDEO GAME. Which is by the way, one of the defining characteristics of a blatant FANBOY.;)

Link or not, Gears is a license co-owned by MS. It generated a lot of money for both companies and a huge fanbase; you think because of some silly dispute on some microtransactions (which btw, is also benefitting Epic) is gonna result in troubling legal matters between the two? Are you guys nuts? To break such a legal contract for such a high profile property is gonna result in millions of dollars in lawsuits (and who's got the better lawyers :roll: ).

It's just a dumb idea some of you are ignorantly supporting. I don't have a problem with Gears being multiplat; it's an awesome game everyone should enjoy, but some of the dumbest comments I read on this thread is how Gears 3 could be on the PS3 intead....O RLY?.....You think Epic is gonna screw over their 3 million + fans on the 360 who would purchase anything Gears?? Lemmings have been using GeoW to claim ownage ever since the game came out: "GeoW has better graphics.", "GeoW is teh awesome!", "PS3 doesn't have a game like GeoW!", etc. Almost every single lemming praised GeoW and complained about M$ charging for the maps when Epic wanted to give them out for free.

And now that Epic has threatened porting GeoW to the PS3 in protest of M$ forcing them to do things they are against, they are suddenly the bad guys.

Boohoo. Just a few weeks ago most of you were praising Epic for standing up against M$, but now that the PS3 has entered the equation you say Epic is just as greedy as M$.

I own a 360 as well, but I would love to see more Epic support on the PS3 is all, as the PS3 is my preferred console.

i doubt you own a 360 plus im not defending microsoft i dont like what there doing with the whole charging for maps but you have to understand it as a bussniess point of view the fact is that microsoft is a corporation and corporations main goal is to make money for there stock holders

Actually, from a non-fanboy's point of view, it s called HAVING A PERSONAL OPINION. Not everyone is going to agree with YOU. I am more of a single player campaign player, and I thoroughly enjoyed Resistance more, not only because it was LONGER, but I enjoyed the weapon selection better as well.

You prove how shallow and narrow minded you are by trying to slap a label on someone just because they hold a different opinion than yourself on a VIDEO GAME. Which is by the way, one of the defining characteristics of a blatant FANBOY.;)

Umm every opinion is biased by definition. Its your personal judgment of something, hence it reflects your biases. Your opinion seems to be more biased than most because you are unwillling to admit that some people couldn't think GeOW isn't an amazing game.
