[QUOTE="ironcreed"]It took you THAT long to figure that out? :PYep, this one is going to do it for me more than Fallout 3 did. I have seen enough to where I am certain of that much.

LOL, this game was a slow burner for me. At first I thought it just looked too similar to Fallout 3, but as I saw more footage I really started to warm up to it. The whole Vegas vibe, the weapon variety, the perks, the factions, etc. It just looks far more appealing in every way that counts, despite looking the same visually for the most part. I know I will dig it more than I did Fallout 3.

I'm in the same boat as you. Didn't even know about the factions in the game until recently lol[QUOTE="Da_lil_PimP"][QUOTE="thespywholied"]Based off the pictures, it doesn't look like it. they say it's 3 times the size. Really? From the looks of the pictures it doesn't look like it. Maybe because it isn't a square map?I do not want to spoil the map for myself but tell me..
Is it bigger then FO3?

[QUOTE="Ilikemyname420"][QUOTE="Da_lil_PimP"] Really? From the looks of the pictures it doesn't look like it. Then again, developers tend to stretch the truth when it comes to open world map sizes. you mean like with oblivion when the devs said the game was much larger than morrowind, but left out the fact that the world is far less interesting to explore?:P
I may never forgive them for that lol

That is one example. Another one, more recent, would be Mafia 2. They said it was 10 square miles, but there were people on the Steam forums who measured it (not sure how) and said it only came out to be like 4-5 square miles. That being said, I don't mind smaller maps as long as they are more detailed. One of my many reason why I fel Morrowind was better than Oblivion.I wish someone would answer my question :(. Am I that hated around here .Are there going to be more cities, or at least more "alive' cities? I know FO3 was more about being alone, but the cities that you visit in the game were really boring imo. Nothing to really do or see for that matter. I would like either more cities, or at least a few really well designed, active cities. Any news on this. I assume there will be since this is some time after the war and Vegas was not really hit with the nukes.

There's a live stream of the game happening right now if anybody is interested. Watched a couple of minutes, but turned it off because I didn't want to spoil anything.

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but it's a list of most of the perks for the game. And this is a list of traits. .. Now I know what I'm doing this weekend. Building my character (Milton Blair - the quintessential wastelander-nerd)! :Dxsubtownerxwow thanks for the links *bookmarks* :)

Might pick this up down the road.
Not expecting a reincarnation of Fallout 1&2,but it will be alot closer to those games than FO3 was.
We might see another 9.5 PC, 9.0 360, 8.5 PS3. :P3 days away and I'm predicting solid 9's across all the systems.
Zune_HD
Nice joke you got there.getting this on the ps3 since bluray make games better since it can store all sorts of things in bluray discs

DragonfireXZ95
PS3, 8.5? why?
i'm pretty sure that a patched fixed all the problems from Fallout 3's PS3 iteration a few days after it's initial launch-and that was 2008. developers overall are definitely more proficient with PS3 hardware.
Um, I hate to be the barer of bad news, but the PS3 version of Fallout 3 that shipped on bluray scored consistantly lower across the board than the other 2 platforms. come to think of it, most Multiplats are stronger on the 360 and dvd9 then they are on bluray. Not commenting on the consoles themselves, more the lack of impact that bluray has on the outcome of quality games.getting this on the ps3 since bluray make games better since it can store all sorts of things in bluray discs

Yup, you can store all sorts of things. Whether any of it is rendered is dependant upon the PS3 hardware.
Still, I know your posting habits and thus this is just a continuation of said habits.
Black Isle made theBauldurs Gate series, worked on 1 and 2 and have made huge improvments on F3. This game will rock ... well in a 1960's way anyway ;)

it's kind of funny how they recommended you to NOT pick hardcore mode. I'm going to play this game on hardcore mode all the way thru since that will make the game feel like the stalker series in my mind.Special Reward given to those who complete the game in Hardcore mode...
This sweetens the pot quite a bit id say....
