I think I understand where you are coming from. I too feel the same way about it.
Has anyone else noticed how Gamespot is trying really hard to be console agnostic when it comes to multiplats? The 360 version of Bioshock trounces the PS3 version, and they pretended that they looked the same even when people posted very definitive screenshot proof that this wasn't the case. Same thing goes for Dead Space. The 360's texture are just so much sharper and there is zero slowdown vs the PS3's occasional chop. Yet Gamespot would have you believe they are identical. They also never mention the online differences or lack of Trophy support in games anymore. This is becoming pretty disturbing to the point of beligerence when they are misleading readers.WillieBeamish
I haven't experienced any chops in the ps3 version in dead space, and bioshock has better graphics then the 360 version

Lots of new reviewers we've never heard of before, the unpredictability, the ownership and ratings change etc. plus they are way more strict than ever before.
i posted this as a thread that got locked, on account that i didnt see the sticky, but:
I read Gamespot's Far Cry 2 review, and overall, compared to most other review sites, this review was much better. My only concern was that the score did not seem reflect how the reviewer felt about the game. He made it seem as if he reported the score as a 9 or 9.5, and not an 8.5.
Still, I thought it was a good and thorough review, and it does a good job in making you think that Far Cry 2 is the best fps ever.
Why would you suspend someone for making a Far Cry 2 thread out of this one? It's a forum, not a sweat shop. You Guys know the Drill. All Far Cry talk to be contained within. Those posting about Far Cry outside the sticky risk moderation.

lol yeah but I meant more strict about modding people. The cons don't even sound that bad. Was anyone expecting a good story from this one? That it's not all that isn't particularly disappointing. It's the kind of game where you make your own.
Travelling could perhaps become tedious at some point though, if the physics are a bit dull and you're just driving through miles and miles of flat nothing at all and never stumbling upon anything of interest.
Sounds like a thing that could be updated with a mod perhaps? Fast Travel a la Oblivion.
Wow, those were the only cons?
I don't mind traveling, especially in a game like FarCry...and the story is good enough for me.
I am definitely buying this.
Hey dudes. I wrote the review on this one. If you've got any questions, feel free to ask.
As for those wondering the differences between console versions, there really are none. You could dissect screens with a magnifying glass if you wanted to, but what's the point? That time would be better spent installing a new graphics card on your PC so you can play the best version ;).

Yeah I have a question about the map editor between the PS3 and the 360 as well as the PC. Are they all equal or is the PC superior to the consol editors?
Also, is the 36 0 map editor somewhat limited compared to the PS3 because of MS's restrictions?
Hi dude, I have one question. If you get shot at, do you have to remove every single bullet each time an injury appears from the direction you're shot?Hey dudes. I wrote the review on this one. If you've got any questions, feel free to ask.

Gonna pic up my copy tomorrow. I just don't know which version to get. PC will have a buncha mods, but I dunno if my candy-ass 384MP 8800GS will be able to handle it.Verge_6

If not, I'll make it sol. I might need some liquid nitrogen, however...
Judging from that site, my AMDx2 5200+ may be a bigger hindrance.

What's an 8800GT? Is that like an 8800GTX with less X in it? Confusing number and letter combinations are confusing.

 Something like that.
It goes sorta like this, IIRC: 8800GTX > 8800GT > 8800GTS > 8800GS
