Not really. Reach is definitely a big step up from Halo 3, and even rivals KZ2 in some aspects, but KZ2 is still better looking thanks to animations and post production effects.

No no no, reach maybe bigger but Kz2 definitly has better graphical fidelity It might be because they use shortcuts with lighting, and its a bit heavy on corriders and very scripted... but it still designed to look better, halo is designed to play better

I eagerly anticipate the day when people stop using this lame and long worn-out response. On topic, FPSs in general must not have very good graphics if Halo Reach is the best-looking of the bunch.

Finally this is the point i've been getting at! This is the experience i have had, i think this may be down to playing style as he takes vantage points and routes i would in games taking me "out of range" of enemies. Up close prehaps the AI is superb, i wouldn't know.

I'm sorry I'm willing to admit KZ2 does indeed look better, but you have not played reach if you think the elites AI is no good. At least anything higher than Heroic

they are playing on normal... there is a very big difference granted elites only pursue so far so even on legendary they can be outsmarted

edit: but even if you do empty clips on them from a distance, they just run for cover and regen, elites are so brutal on legendary :(

Halo Reach it looks a lot better than KZ2 but it have not better graphics than God of War 3 and U2.But again Halo Reach is one of the best looking games on the XBOX360.

WHat's your point? Unless the game is specifically designed to have the AI become smarter with difficulty changes, it being on Normal is good enough. What, do the enemies need an abserd amount of health just to put up a fight?

well they scale and assume the user can't really aim well on easy/normal, i don't think playing overly cautious is necessary so your better off running in gunz a blazin

On harder difficulties they are more aggressive attacking you and loves to dodge more, even Bungie said to play it on Heroic was a better experience since even they knew Normal was still easy.

My first run through Reach was on Heroic, and it played exactly like the video I presented. The AI is nothing to gloat about. Even on Legendary, where the game get's it's difficulty off numbers (Health vs Damage) and not smart AI, Plasma Pistol + DMR headshot = dead Elite. AFter that, the grunts spend the rest of the fight running away...

And don't get me started on the canned AI and animations. Every area of KZ2 plays out like the last time you played it, whether it be on the left hand side of the corridor or the right hand side of the grey (sometimes red or brown!) corridor. Unlike Halo Reach which is mostly a different experience every time you play it, especially on higher difficulty levels.

the only problem with the ai is that they tend to stick to a certain area, other then that its some of the best ai in games today, they flank, they'll retreat, become more aggressive, they also won't all attack the same target if there is multiple targets, they split and fend off flankers.

Lol though you were describing Reach at first! This is pretty much entirely wrong though i'd agree that Reach plays out more differently each time than Killzone. Elites have way more health than any enemy on Killzone and if you want to see sponging look no further than your team mates on Reach. And seriously most of the game isn't in corridoors, it's outdoors, corridoors tend to be used to link the section of the game together.

Reach is no graphics king, but it is a very impressive game from a technical standpoint, anybody who says otherwise is being silly, it must be highly addictive as well, i play reach at home, i go to work and everyone is yabbering about Reach online, i fell like a bit of an outsider cos i don't play it online,but i have played it offline evryday since it came out, the game is amazing fun and truly addictive, you don't need pretty graphics for that,just look at games like tetris.

Well during my LABORIOUS Killzone 2 play-through I saw enemies: - Just come out of over and stand still> - Stand right next to me shooting the NPC's but totally oblivious to my presence. - Jump out of cover, stand around for 2 seconds then jump for cover where they were before, for no apparent reason. - Not bother trying to flank me. Just sitting in cover doing nothing. Really fun game :roll:

And don't get me started on the canned AI and animations. Every area of KZ2 plays out like the last time you played it, whether it be on the left hand side of the corridor or the right hand side of the grey (sometimes red or brown!) corridor. Unlike Halo Reach which is mostly a different experience every time you play it, especially on higher difficulty levels.

Really? My two runs through Halo Reach was basically the same, dispite being MASSIVLY easier the second time around. The only exception I can think of was

[spoiler] mission 10, where you had to fight the huge waves of grunts in the plasma turrets (right before Emile dies). The ONLY difference I saw was a Sniper Rifle I missed my frist run through (which just made that sequence completely easy...) [/spoiler]

Lol though you were describing Reach at first! This is pretty much entirely wrong though i'd agree that Reach plays out more differently each time than Killzone. Elites have way more health than any enemy on Killzone and if you want to see sponging look no further than your team mates on Reach. And seriously most of the game isn't in corridoors, it's outdoors, corridoors tend to be used to link the section of the game together.

you can make corridors outside... when people say corrider they mean really tight areas to fight in, if enemies could flank in kz2 there really aren't many areas for them to take advantage of this.

Normal? Oh. Never seen them do that on Heroic, they always seem to be moving, which lead to many intense fights.

My first run through Reach was on Heroic, and it played exactly like the video I presented. The AI is nothing to gloat about. Even on Legendary, where the game get's it's difficulty off numbers (Health vs Damage) and not smart AI, Plasma Pistol + DMR headshot = dead Elite. AFter that, the grunts spend the rest of the fight running away...

Exactly? I have a hard time believing that.:|

All games have bad points: - The AI simply can't drive, see above for a vid - I've had Elites simply stand and take shots (vid above) - Self fragging Elites (i've seen this quite a bit) - Several times where enemies have fallen off things (often out of the map) Stop making out Kz2 is any worse than Reach it isn't they both have good AI if played in certain ways.

Really? My two runs through Halo Reach was basically the same, dispite being MASSIVLY easier the second time around. The only exception I can think of was

halo has the same enemies in the same areas, but they let you tackle it in multitude of ways, also playing on co-op it will scale, and the AI isn't quite as predictable, doing the same thing twice the AI can act two completley different ways making a second try compltely different from the first.

killzone 2 is a fun game, and although i have only clocked 8 hours playing it on my mates TV i don't remeber the AI being that bad,killzone 2 is an awesome game really, i already said i would go halfs on killzone 3 with him.

And with the grenade thing: i did play alot of CoD 2 and 4 where the main change to the difficulty levels was the sheer mass of grenades thrown at you in veteran, sorta got used to sticking out of their way.

Man you need to stop your stupid arguement. Except you're blind or have'nt played reach every body knows that the AI in reach are top notch & even bests killzone 2 AI. Honestly the helghast AI are so stupid that they do even take covers on explosive barrels & the most annoying of all is that helghasts screams like little girls when set on fire.

I don't to prove anything to you or any other Cow. Yes I have a PS3 and I have played all these SO CALLED "graphics kings" and "best exclusives' and to be honest, I've played better games on other systems. Graphics aren't all that either, ESPECIALLY Killzone 2. Incredibly unappealing game, visually, and without all the motion blur, low contrast and particle effects it would look PRETTY DAMNED UGLY. Only one I haven't tried is Valkyria Chronicles; saving the best for last.

If you would read some other posts you'd notice that i've already stated that it's probably down to how i play the game, at a distance with high vantage points that are difficult to enter making rushing too hard for the AI, they go defensive and often just sit there taking bullets.
