I think people should probably take to heart one of the ye old mottos of gaming history.
"Wait and see."
I've played games that had bad scores that were good and vice versa so one should not judge a game based on one review and write it off. Especially IGN. WHO SAID THAT?
Anyways, get the game, play it, then do what you will with the game whether it be to keep the game in your collection or to return it to the store. Either way, you have the power, you call the shots, you do whatever the @#$% you want to do with a game or whatever else there is.

People are still gonna buy it. We love crap.....
I was always a DMC fan so this isn't a big deal to me, but I kinda want in on the DOA 5 demo  . I'm so sick of Capcom fighters this gen.
finalfantasy94
im more sick of thier buisness pratice then thier games.
Same for me.So people beileve IGN now ?johny300people have always believed in IGN - which baffles me since they have been the most inconsistent reviewer this entire generation. not that I think ng3 will be good either...but I learned to stop trusting IGN a long time ago. I usually stick to Eurogamer/Giantbomb anyways..which is ashame since giantbomb was just bought out by CBS Interactive.
Ouch. This is a hard blow to Ninja Gaiden fans. DmC is probably going to be even worse. Ah, thank god we still have Platinum Games to deliver us from evil.
LMAO :lol::lol::lol:
Knew this game would be terrible since day 1. Everything I've seen was utter sh*t and wtf, trying to make Ninja Gaiden a "serious" story. Were they on crack when they came up with this sh*t? And apparently you only have ONE weapon and the rest are free DLC...available at a later date. LMAO what a joke Team Ninja has become. First the awfulness of Other M now Ninja Gaiden 3.
Can't wait for Devil's Third by Itagaki!

DmC actually looks fun gameplay-wise and the only "bad" thing about it is how Dante looks.
CVG: 8.0 - It's less hardcore than previous games, making solo play enjoyable, but the online mode is a misstep. Still, while it's not as accomplished as Bayonetta, it's the best Gaiden yet.
Metro: 8/10 - An impressively courageous reboot that channels the hard-edged heart of the series while discarding its more antagonistic baggage.

another "bad" thing about it is that it's developed by ninja theory. Their previous games have been aesthetically pleasing (which is why it "looks" like fun), but they have fallen extremely short in the gameplay department. The last thing DMC needs is a shallow ninja theory combat system..especially when the series is known for having deep/technical mechanics and a steep learning curve.another "bad" thing about it is that it's developed by ninja theory. Why is everyone acting like this is playstation's fault for a wonderful series to take a plunge??!?!!![QUOTE="waltefmoney"]
Thanks, PlayStation.

This may be the 1st NG to have a "simultaneous" release for the 360 and the ps3, but this isn't the 1st NG that was a multiplat, and what's even funnier is that the last iteration actually scored higher on the ps3 than it did on the 360. Go figure!!!!
I know, lems are butthurt over it being multiplat and not a "timed" exclusive.[QUOTE="Aljosa23"]Ninja Theory isn't working on the gameplay though. Capcom is. I though Hideaki Itsuno was behind DMCs 2-4. Was Kamiya behind the gameplay of them all?
3?????!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok...now i'm surprised.
"it feels more like Dynasty Warriors than anything else"
Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the things that caught my eye and disgusted me was the fact that Ryu can only use one weapon in the game. Some of the fun in the previous games was finding new weapons, upgrading them, and using them in combat. Each weapon had its own feel, and using each of them was one of the best parts of the previous game.
I defended Team Ninja after what happened to Other M, and while that game's issues still falls on Sakomoto I'm starting to wonder how much freedom Team Ninja had in Other M. With Other M, the ability to pick up energy and missile powerups was removed in favor of a concretion system that simply did not help.
I hate it when sequels make pointless changes that do nothing to improve the game. Who thought removing Ryu's other weapons and limiting him to a single weapon was a good idea? If anything, it makes the game worse because the depth that accompanies mastering different types on weapons is tossed out the window. I could accept Ryu having only a single weapon in the DS Ninja Gaiden, but its pathetic and reeks of laziness whenit happens on the 360 and PS3.
Honestly, what the hell Team Ninja?

Did they just say "antagonistic baggage"? So having multiple weapons to choose from, a game that is challenging, and unique boss fights is baggage that needs to be dumped? Really?
Oh my bad, I'm sure the other weapons will be on sell for 5.00 bucks a download. 20.00 bucks for the "Xtreme Ninja Weapons Pack DLC 1" so you can get four of the weapons at once. Yeah, that's the future of gaming.
Who needs that "antagonistic baggage" crap when we can nickle and dime people to death and toss away challenge.
But that will probally be dealt with in the future as well with the "Xtreme Challenge Pack DLC" Only 10.00 bucks to bring the game up to Ninja Dog mode.
Maybe..... If Tecmo feels like it.
i blame the ps3.alberth123123I hope that's sarcasm because if not, I can't take that comment seriously.

I find that quote more insulting to DW than it is to NG.

I know, lems are butthurt over it being multiplat and not a "timed" exclusive. :lol:I don't get this argument. The sigma games might be a bit more difficult than the original xbox installments. At least in terms of weapon availability. You can only upgrade one weapon per muramasa statue in NGS2 which makes boss fights a bit harder since the majority of them are susceptible to different weapons. @Onesan: yup, I'm sure you didn't need my confirmation, but I'm completely wrong. Still doesn't change the fact that Ninja theory doesn't know how to develop a satisfying combat system.Still doesn't change the fact that Ninja theory doesn't know how to develop a satisfying combat system.Some-Mist

It's over the fact that there are 360 owners claiming it's the PS3's fault when in fact it's the developers fault that NG3 is doing bad. Hayashi can't reach the success that Itagaki had.
The dude who reviewed it at IGN was clearly a fan of the series.
The guys at CVG and Metro clearly weren't.

Capcom only do bi-monthly visits to NT studio, they really can't be helping much with that time. Whether people like it or not DmC is entirely a NT game, just like with Heavenly Sword and Enslaved the devs they are associated with only add input and are not actively involved. It would not make sense to hire them if Capcom were doing the bulk of the game now would it? NT working on everything but Capcom adding input on gameplay which if you look closer is a pale imitation of the true Devil May Cry. Janky attacks, the reaction from the enemies are really off, slo-mo BS, stupid devil trigger(durr white dante trigger) and only running at half the speed. The game will not be smooth or stylish being done by NT who are the worst studio to handle a heavy action game like DMC. It maybe good if you expect it to be on par with their previous titles but as a DMC game it's an abortion.
And judging by the story it will not be its saving grace, pretentious crap about demons being in the government and only Dante can see them blah blah. Simple facts about NT's past and what they have said and done so far regarding DmC means it will be a miracle if it doesn't end up being a mess. Another thing just look at Capcoms track record regarding outsource to western devs. Dead Rising is the only good one but on the other hand you have Bionic Commando, Dark Void, Lost Planet 2 and from the looks of it ORC will join the list of shoddy titles. DmC will not be the exception when it runs at 30 fps, butchering the main character and doing away with unique personality the series has been famous for the last decade.
So this confirms that God of War series >>>> Ninja Gaiden series
BullyRay44
Nah, the previous 2 installments are able to keep the series placed miles above GoW by themselves.
