IGN reviews NG3 - 3 for 3.0

I already wrote off the series after Itagaki left Tecmo and Team Ninja, still... even if a game sucks ass why give it a 3.0? I mean a 6.0 still says a game sucks and basically fans of Ninja Gaiden are going to get it anyways, but giving it a 3 just trolls the fans... wait a sec, think about this, every time people read like "Ninja Gaiden 3 got a 3?!" they're going to click the link which takes them to IGN which does what people (cha-ching!), gives IGN money for ad revenues because people are visiting the site, and the irony is the pissed off fans are probably going to get pissed and start commenting and that's going draw even more traffic to IGN making them more money... ***golf clap*** damn IGN, well played, evil genius sirslamprey263

No, it should be judged by the standards of both its genre and the previous games in the series. Even by action game standards, its seems like this game falls short. No other weapons by default, toned down difficulty, bosses that get repeated constantly throughout and a general lack of polish.

And by NG standards, it tosses away things that have been in the series since NGI on the Xbox. Pointless changes that make no sense and don't enhance the game in anyway. From the looks of it, NGIII really brings nothing to the table and makes changes for the sake of "trying something new"

I'm not against changes in sequels, but I hate when they randomly toss away things that worked in previous entries. I'll play NG III to see how bad it really is, but the reviews are not reassuring.

As for me, I have no plans on buying this, I will eventually pick it up since its NG and I simply have to try it for myself. I hope Team Ninja gets their stuff together by then (by that I mean they sell the right to NG to Valhalla or Platinum)

NGis so overrated, I bet ppl only liked it because of the hard difficulty, finished the xbox/ps3 sigma version and also NG 2, the bosses were a b1tch,

I always had to stack-up on all healing items to breeze-through it... /itagaki (Mr. Cookie Monster Faced Pizza Douchebag) is so overrated too.

Don't tell me that this one dude was responsible to how the first game turned out, NG 2 was a disappointment, only good it has goin for it

is a little bit improved graphic/visuals - would've been really great if it also appeared on the pc, the dismemberment was a nice touch too.

oh and ayane's Jiggily Wiggily. I always thought that itagaki was only responsible for pervy things like he does in D.O.A :P

Not a suprise, the gameplay footage I saw looked like trash and filled with quick time sequences. Ninja Gaiden Black would forever be my favorite Ninja Gaiden game.

Should have stayed an Xbox exclusive. Going on the PS3 ruined Ninja Gaiden! :x
