Is it possible to build a 400$ PC and run games as powerfull as Killzone 2?

I can agree with that, people sticking with the Playstation brand because of past experience.

However you cannot deny there is an audience who bought into the whole "super computer" over hype, there are enough of them here.

You buy a laptop for mobility i.e. Xbox360/PS3 is (missing in action) MIA on mobility.

PS; My Sony laptop is fitted with Mobility Radeon HD 4650 GDDR3 and ExpressCard slot.

The whole purpose of the argument in this thread is to prove that one is a better deal than the other... I just find it hilarious people are arguing consoles are a better deal yet they're using a computer to even take part in the debate. To take advantage of lazy people who cannot be bothered to learn how to insert a GPU into the same shaped slot.

Why keep asking these questions when it has already been answered various times? Some people just want a better than standard experience and are willing to pay for that, it's not a mandatory requirement of PC gaming.

HEY HEY man i dont steal my games dude check my profile for some of the PC games i own and i own a lot more than that profile lets on. Dont pile us into the same boat as well mate. That guy said it was legal in his country and as much as i disagree with it its not the case for a lot of people. Tho i must admit on a gaming site for gaming enthusiasts i find it cheeky practically admitting piracy or advocating its use ("Not pertaining to this situation but people do it"). the problem is the Cell, that type of tech wont be available for desktop until the year of 2012.

The problem is with you for not understanding that the modern PC GPUs are also stream processors.

ATI Radeon HDs for example includes it's own command processor i.e. expose via indirect mode.

Consoles are at the bottom of the graphics barrel. I'm not so fanboyish that I can't see that. As I've stated, MULTIPLE times now. PC gaming has it's benefits - graphics / frame rates, there are many. Price however is not one of them. It makes PC gamers just look silly when they try and argue this.mythrol

Are fanboys so ownage starved they invent challenges they already know the outcome to just so they can win at something? What am I saying, of course they do. That is why we get threads asking which console is the best for HD video or which is cheapest to play online.

I didn't find it so ridiculous. It seems the only people that have a problem with it, are those that are trying to act as if PC gaming is just as cheap as console gaming.

Yes you did, instead of asking it in the PC hardware section where there are plenty of people who can help with this sort of thing; you posted it in SW. The sole purpose of this thread is to make a cost driven argument that has no regard for features or quality, to invalidate every advantage PC has to offer the moment it goes outside of your artificially placed price limit.

I could of course be wrong, but these sort of threads are not uncommon in SW; and they are far more often than not an attempt to bash PC because it's more expensive than consoles.
