Don't.
We'll still be having fun with this. :)
Worth the wait... I don't care if it's a 5 point 5 or a 1 point 5.
I like the gameplay, getting it for the laptop because the requirements are low.
Well deserved, it looked & played like $#!* anyways. I'm still amazed there are many people on these forums saying they'll still buy the game...just because of the name.abuabed
the humor alone is what makes duke well....duke.
gameplay in 3d wasnt that great in relation to what else was on the market at the time but still memorable for its cheesyness and humour.Duke was the literal 80's action hero for games.

This is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stale genre.
tbh Bulletstorm was my fav this gen because it went against these norms, but i had to sell it so i could pay my phone bill but i'll rebuy it some day.
This game isn't ugly by any stretch of the imagination. It looks rather nice maxed out on the PC, actually.
It also plays quite nicely too. The gunplay (especially the shotgun) feels sweet, though it'd be better without the two weapon limit to be honest.
The hate for this game is insane. I thought this kind of critical lunacy was exclusive to Sonic fans?!

Don't you know the first rule of videogames and System Wars? You're not allowed to have fun with any game below 9.5. EVER.
What I find amusing is that even though I don't like Duke as a character and see that the game is in many ways flawed, it still looks more entertaining than most FPSs on the market.

Sorry but this is not a breath of fresh air. It follows the same problems that is wrong with today's FPS. They took a game that had secrets to be found and different paths that could be taken. But what they gave was a game that is one path with countless scripted events and invisible walls you can't pass untill a scripted event is complete, forcing you to listen and watch. You go from section to section and having to clear wave after wave of enemies and are unable to move forward untill you clear them all.
You can't even be Duke untill like 35 mins into the game, forcing you to only carry 2 guns which it will always force you to use the guns the feel is needed for a certain part. Yes this has some of the Duke Nukem charm but this is really an average FPS that has the Duke Nukem name and skin. Had it not been a Duke Nukem game it could be an average FPS game but because it is it makes it worse. This game is also too quiet, where's the music you expect from a Duke Nukem game? Go play Duke Nukem 3D and then play this, it's completely different.

The third rule is that if you buy big name games (Halo, Starcraft, Mario etc.) you're a casual, mainstream cancer to videogames but if you buy indie games (Super Meat Boy, Minecraft etc.) you're a self-righteous, pretentious hipster with no tastes in games. :P

I've not bought this cause yet since i went out clubbing last night and spent near enough £160 im in no position to go out and buy games with my hangover and bank balance.
So i cant fully judge on that SINCE IVE NOT PLAYED IT AND GOING ON DUKE 3d.
theres no point in writing big whine-o-graphs cause i really dont give a hoot.

If that's what you call a "whine-o-graph", then you clearly missed the point All I did was say how it is not a breath of fresh air and explained why, I was'nt whining but rather putting what I know about the game out there and see where you see the breath of fresh air and share with the rest of us.
Me sad. Last year - AvP and C&C, this year - Duke. My favorite franchises are in incompetent hands.
And yeah, DN3D is >>>>>>>>>>> DNF. Gotta play the former and have some manly nostalgic tears.

what i meant by breath of fresh air is that its not an overly serious pretentious explosion filled bore fest like Homefront,CoD where you play the grizzled hero with some pathetic sense of morality or just basically the average trooper.
Fed up of that goddamn nonsense in FPS.Least duke has spirit and bulletstorm aswell and a strange alien concept to FPS called humour.

But yet, to get on his throne that a child is sitting on, he has to take his picture. If he was Chuck Norris, he would have round house kicked that punk to his mummy. He will happly stand and waiting till someone moves out of his way, so that he can pass (yes scripted events). Sorry but this Duke is a shell of his former self.

There is plenty more, this is not Duke. He didn't need to take cover like any other average trooper. Really if you haven't played any of the older titles, then sorry but this could be any other character that has a skin job. Yes some of the jokes are funny but the power armour was funny and stupid, he used power armour before. If you manage to like this game great but if you were expecting a Duke Nukem game, then this not it, this is just a below average FPS with his name on it.
I expected it. The game may be funny , but I buy games to be entertained by gameplay and overall performance. Paying $40 for a game where I laugh but at the same time be bored out of my mind is not alright with me. GearBox should stidk with making Borderlands 2, and leave Duke to rest.
People don't like the gameplay. Can't blame them.Ok I do not get the sub 6 reviews. The game is solid. Seems like people are rating it low because they think the humor is juvenile, which is pretty goddamn juvenile in and of itself.

People don't like the gameplay. Can't blame them. All that you have to do is reduce the aim accuracy to 1, which really just makes the horizontal and vertical freelook speeds the same.. Besides that, my only complaint is not being able to load yourself down with weapons...[QUOTE="Cali3350"]
