Mario Galaxy vs Sonic Unleashed

Yeah, Sonic Unleashed was fun for wii and ps2 (not 360 or ps3, those are terrible). SMG put wasn't fun to me though, gave me a headache. All the jumping from one planet to another and bright colors.

I think pretty much everyone here is going to say SMG. There hasn't been a good Sonic game in a loooong time. Silent-Hal

the gameplay wasnt that bad, but the story/dialogue was horrible. and the part that really killed it for me was having to replay levels in order to get enough sun and moon medals to continue with the game

Where's thunderdrone with the SMGOTY gifs when you need em? We all know what the common answer will be. onic Unleashed wasn't horrid though, it was really bleh and mediocore.

I'm a big old fan of Sonic, and I can never get into the 3D Mario games, and I'm going to have to give it to Galaxy. The werehog sections in Unleashed, as well as the two Tornado stages, and some of the badly designed areas leading to pitfalls in the Sonic areas just ruin the game.

SMG of course, Sonic Unleashed's day time levels were alright, but I can't say the same for the Werehog levels.

Really the Wii version was the best?

I do admit the day time levels were fun. But the Night time levels were soo annoying, I stoped playing, and returned it (i rented it).

Its more of a platformer vs platformer comparison. The wii wins this one either way so it doesn't matter lol.

Um, that was the 360 version and it sucked. I took it back (I rented it out when I was a gamestop employee). I got the wii version for christmas after renting it out from gamestop. They are 2 different games. They aren't even similar in level design. I don't even like Wii, but I can say that the wii version is the best out of all 4 of them. Ownage disapproved....

..... No one has ever said the 2D Sonics sucked in SW. Most people here think that every Sonic game between Sonic Heroes and Black Knight were horrible. The only exceptions were the DS ones, which weren't even made by Sonic Team.

heh, you got me there, I just thought it was wii game vs wii game honestly. The FACT is that the 360 game sucked and I lost respect for TC for even thinking the 360 version could compare to SMG. SMG > Sonic Unleashed (360, PS3) FACT.

Yeah, the PS3/360 versions of Sonic Unleashed are completely different games from the Wii version. This is evident by their review scores: 3.5 for PS3/360 and 7.5 for the Wii version. It's perfectly justified for one to enjoy the Wii version. You have been redeemed.

Neither of those videos were that great in my opinion.

The SMG vid was from Good Egg Galaxy or one of the other really early galaxies which aren't too great. Show something cool like Sand Dune Galaxy or Toy Time.

As for the Unleashed video, I felt that the game was pretty much controlling everything you did because Sonic for the most part moved in straight lines. I was wondering at times if the player could just put his controller down and still be able to beat the level.

Thats BS, I saw a thread 2 days ago about all sonic games being rubbish (Even on Genesis.) FACT.

The general consensus on SW is that Sonic was amazing back on the Genesis and up till Sonic Adventure 2. After that, I had no idea what Sonic Team was thinking. Actually, I don't think Sonic Team even knows what it's thinking nowadays.
