Mario Galaxy vs Sonic Unleashed

The reviews said otherwise upon their original releases. They're the same yet people magically call it bad cause they "didnt age well". Oh and I really liked how you dodge my points -_-sonicthemegaman

What points? Your only "points" so far have been "that"s opinionated", "10 years ago they were good"and "reviewers dont' know anything".

Fact: reviewers disliked the game.

Fact: most people disliked the game (based on the various user scores across Metacritic and Gamerankings)

Opinion: you like the game. Not that big of a deal.

Ok stop fighting if you want a good Sonic game go play SRB2 http://www.srb2.org/ Best 3d sonic game with no complaints from me... course it isn't made by Sega (obviously) JigglyWiggly_

I've played that before I believe. It was cool considering it was an indie game but thatTechno Hillhad horrid level design issues.

Even the Dreamcast Sonics where pretty meh.

Looking past the eye-candy (at the time), they where clunky, mediocre games. They aged poorly too

Sonic unleashed has bad controls, boring levels and cheap deaths.

I think the comparison is very fair. Two rival platforming mascots in their '3D games' respectively. I admit Sonic Unleashed isn't as bad as everyone says it is. It's actually the best Sonic since SA2, but Mario Galaxy does trounce Sonic - simply due to more polishand having a lack of poor control issues and a forced story.

The daytime stages are just as flawed as the night time ones. At least in the Wii version anyway. If the daytime stages were everything Sonic Unleashed was, I probably would've liked it less. Poor trial and error gameplay, almost unplayable segments (ones that involve water mainly) and a total lack of imaginative locations.

Yeah, Sonic Unleashed was fun for wii and ps2 (not 360 or ps3, those are terrible). SMG put wasn't fun to me though, gave me a headache. All the jumping from one planet to another and bright colors.
