Mario Galaxy vs Sonic Unleashed

The SMG vid was from Good Egg Galaxy or one of the other really early galaxies which aren't too great. Show something cool like Sand Dune Galaxy or Toy Time.

As for the Unleashed video, I felt that the game was pretty much controlling everything you did because Sonic for the most part moved in straight lines. I was wondering at times if the player could just put his controller down and still be able to beat the level.

I plays similar to rush which you can beat with little effort. The fun part is trying to blast through the levels with as little slowdown as possible. It something you need to try yourself to understand. Also, Sand Dune Galaxy is so incredibly weak (which in terms of SMG is fantastic still lol). Freeze Flame Galaxy FTW.

I gave SMG a 9.5

Unleashed on the 360 is worth a 3.0

That's not what I meant lol. I mean you can finish the levels without extreme platforming finesse, there is tons of boost to run through enemies and etc.I wasn't talking about SMG though, its easy but you have to use some finesse in completion. Its hard to explain.

Most of the people hating on Sonic Unleashed haven't played it. FACT.

First off, I said I played the PS3 game. Ok, I was tardy to the party and didn't know you meant the Wii version. Both games are different so your opnion is based off a different. I've played both versions and reviewed the Wii version and I don't see how this could be bad compared to 06. SU is not that bad. PS3 version is even better.

Second. Sonic Adventure came out in 1999. It brought the series back to life after the Saturn almost killed him. If you think Sonic died in 1999, you hate Sonic. Period. Sonic Adventure was the biggest step forward in the franchise and even got a 9 here on GS. Sonic didn't die in 1999, your respect for him did. I suggest you get a new avatar.

SU and Galaxy are both good and differ too much to truly compare the two. I'm not afraid to say I prefer the Sonic gameplay cause it's harder and imo, has more replay value. Really though, I didn't know what I was getting with the Werehog but I followed my instincts and I really like the combat. Some of the platforming is hard but the game is very generous with extra lives. My only gripes are the occassional bad camera and framerate dives. I like leveling up the Werehog and learninh all his combos. I'm looking forward to speed running through the Werehog levels when I fully max him out. Even compared to Galaxy, SU is still a good game and I'm glad to see Sonic shape up after that Sonic 06 game. Really, what the hell was that?

Oh great, the "I been gaming before you were born" crap again. Okay well by today's standards, OoT, SM64, MM2, and FF7 all suck. What's that? It's unfair to judge it like that? Yeah exactly. SA was good for its time because it was a good game, not an overrated entry in a cash cow franchise no one shuts up about cause they're jaded as hell. I grew up with Sonic so I played all his 2D games. I don't see what's so bad. Shadow's game was the first truly bad 3D Sonic. Even Heroes got a 7.5 here on the superior GC version. Really, what makes the Wii version so much better? They took out Empire City completely, no hubs, crappier daytime side missions, daytime levels have barely any enemies, the werehog is slower, and the werehog has less moves. Neither version is crap. It's not perfect but calling it crap is outragous. Play Sonic 06 then say SU sucks. SU isn't that bad.sonicthemegaman

Good for you, but not all Sonic fans are as narrow minded, and I only bring up my age to enforce that. The reviews and the vast majority of people in this thread disagree with you. If you enjoy critically acclaimed garbage, that's great, but don't pour your fanboy views on us when we don't share the same opinion. Sonic Adventure is not like Ocarina of Time, and does not live up to today's standards. I liked it when it came out, but like Golden Eye, the fun died a long time ago. There are just too many problems, and people are not as forgiving as they were 10 years ago. Also every other game that has come after has never reached the pinnacle of the excellence of the Genesis titles, and that is a fact. If anything, they get progressively worse. Again, if you enjoy these new games feel free to do so, but don't come in spouting nonsense like us other gamers have never played them before and so on. Oh and btw I have Sonic 06 as well, or should I take a picture of that too?
