I love MLB09 The Show. It's such a superb game,I almost bought Killzone 2 instead of this. Good thing I waited, money well spent.

So much for thinking this issue was solved back with NG:Sigma.

NG:Sigma was decided not to be an exclusive based on the fact that the majority of it's content was already in NG:Black.

GRAW was named exclusive primarily for the switch from TPS to FPS. I don't even play shooters, and I would agree that this is a huge difference.

Dead Rising: I don't know why there wasn't more discussing of its exclusivity when the Wii version was released. Personally I would lean more on the side of it now being multiplat.

In spiteof the fact that the PS2 and PSP versions may be lesser quality, they still exist. They are still primarily the same game, therefore they are multiplat. As someone else said, if this were not the case, why was this not an issue with MLB: the Show games in prior years.

The whole point of exclusive is the premise that an exclusive provides a reason to buy one single h/w platform, and no other platform.

Example: L4D. If you have a PC and play PC games, there is no reason to believe you should buy a 360 for this game. If you have a 360, there is no reason to believe you will buy a PC for this game. If you have both, you aren't going to buy any new h/w at all. And if you have neither, this particular game won't sway you either way because it is available on both.

If you own a PS2, there is no added reason to buy a PS3 because of MLB: 09. You can buy it and play it on your PS2. If you don't own either a PS2 or a PS3 (or PSP), there is no clear incentive to pick either a PS2 or PS3.....you will do so for other reasons...not this game.

This is the whole point of the term exclusive in SWs. And this is why MLB: 09 is not an exclusive.

The games are the same.

Differences include:

Technical Issues on PS2 version(bugs, AI, collision detection, etc.)

Easier to check swing on PS2(although no explanation is given why other than "it seemd like it was easier"

Worse online play on PS2(due to lag)...

Not a different game. No matter how you spin it the fact that both games have the same controls(beyond supposedly easier check swing), same game modes, and same gameplay makes it NOT EXCLUSIVE.

But you didn't take the time to read the last couple of pages so why would anyone expect you to know we already went over this.

MLB 08: The Show was/is not an exclusive. All year it has been considered multiplat.

So why would MLB 09: The Show be exclusive when the changes were made to both the PS3 and PS2 versions of the game?

Because you cows want another PS3 exclusive. Should have fought to have MLB 08: The Show as an exclusive if you really wanted to consider any of them exclusive.
