The whole point of exclusive is the premise that an exclusive provides a reason to buy one single h/w platform, and no other platform.
Example: L4D. If you have a PC and play PC games, there is no reason to believe you should buy a 360 for this game. If you have a 360, there is no reason to believe you will buy a PC for this game. If you have both, you aren't going to buy any new h/w at all. And if you have neither, this particular game won't sway you either way because it is available on both.
If you own a PS2, there is no added reason to buy a PS3 because of MLB: 09. You can buy it and play it on your PS2. If you don't own either a PS2 or a PS3 (or PSP), there is no clear incentive to pick either a PS2 or PS3.....you will do so for other reasons...not this game.
This is the whole point of the term exclusive in SWs. And this is why MLB: 09 is not an exclusive.
