Im not obsessed with him but I actually like him more then I thought I would. It was fun finding a combo with thesmoke cloud he throws.Im also loving styker and kabal. Also im finding that im liking the alt costumes for the cast more then the standerd outfits. Execpt jades,noobs,smokes and kitana. Also have you tried cyber sub yet? I think hes ok but I still perfer the orginal.

Haven't really given Stryker enough of a chance, but I'm diggin Kabal. And agreed on the alts for sure, a lot of them are pretty cool so far. Havent tried Cyber Sub yet. I just got my own copy of the game, so I've gotta start unlocking stuff all over again.

How do you get Cyber Sub?

You get him by playing story mode.

sat at my mates the past 6h playing this.TBH never had so much fun with a fighter since Tekken 2 :P and that goes for all of us (we all grew up together) and having this ADTR song blaring made it even more immense xD.

What's everyone's favorite fatality at the moment? Mine goes to Ermac's secret fatality.

Don't watch past 2:20 if you don't want his ending spoiled, but...

Here is a video that illustrates part of why I'm all about Smoke. But besides those crazy combos, he has sick teleports, a move that counters projectiles, full invisibility and a ton of quick starting short combos.

And since you're into Scorpion right now, its hard to find combo vids that aren't from the demo, but I did find this one and its pretty sick.

One of the combos may seem off at the end with his air throw, but the trick is that he is pressing the throw button immediately after landing a jump kick. This can be done with all characters that have air throws. Sorry if you already knew that, but a lot of my friends didn't and got pissed at me for spamming it. :P

Reading all the comments it sounds like this is worth picking up. Probably a really stupid question, but I own a Hori arcade stick for my 360. I assume it's compatible? I don't see why it wouldn't be, but I just want to make sure before buying as I'll not play with the 360s d-pad, and won't be able to return the game. Rekunta

I would think so, but I really dont know for sure. Maybe you could check some of the MK specific boards? I'd hate for you to miss out on this game, but I'd also hate for you to waste your money and be stuck with that dpad.

Once it's compatible with the 360 there's no reason it shouldn't be with the game. I used the standard SF4 madcatz stick (parts were changed but that doesn't really matter) with the MK demo and it worked fine.

All the other pre-sets are not to my liking at all. I'm not going to buy the stick made especially made for this as I already have one. It seems like a really cool game, but this is moronic. Damn it, I KNEW this would happen.

So anybody out there who has a Hori stick (can't speak for others), you CANNOT config the buttons as you like. This is probably only possible with the tournament stick. Clever marketing ploy. Beware.

Yea, maybe I'll pick up the Madcatz, 'cause the game seems REALLY cool. I think I'll just try it with the 360's pad and see if I can stomach it before selling, it just really irks me I can't customize it on a stick that I bought specifically for fighters and cost me near to $200.:evil: Maybe it's a bug and will be patched, hopefully.

Does anybody find Goro to be really cheap to fight against. Maybe it's because I haven't played a fighting game in years but I can't beat him even on easy :(

All you really need to do is jump do a punch then do a quick combo like a 3 hit one. I had to die my first time to notice this. Basicly all the boss characters can be beaten with the same exact pattern of jumping over them doing the air punch then quick combo.

I can't believe they found a way to create a story in a fighting game. And for some reason, I find it to be good, although very cheesey. For my couple hours of playing this game, I find the score GS gave it to be right on. Can't wait to play online, just got to wait for PSN to come back up.

That's a good fatality. I have had the game for two days but haven't played it yet (lol) but from what I have seen my favourite fatality is Sector's secret scarecrow one and Sub zero's secret skull fatality.

I am so psyched about the story mode, I hope this starts a trend and we see similar attempts at a story mode from other fighting games.

Boon and Co have really done a brilliant job with the story and I am looking forward to play it later today. Heck I don't even care if the story through cutscenes is not good because the fact they tried -and judging from the reviews succeeded- is all I need to know to confirm that a SP type story is definitely possible in fighting games.

Even Motorstorm attempted a story through cutscenes in the latest racing/offroad title, and though it's nothing to brag about I rather liked the motion comics.

More SP story in fighting, racing and other genre's that normally don't do (proper)story!
