Well Ed Boon didn't confirm nor deny such features. The interesting thing to note is that Boon did confirm that although a lot of the MK9 information is public knowledge there will still be plenty of secrets gamers will discover when they play the game.

Call me crazy, but I think this game can earn a AAA score if the gameplay is tight enough. In fact, I'm doing it right now. I'm saying AAA.... and I hate Mortal Kombat, but this game just looks so markedly improved. If Marvel VS Capcom 3 can score an 8.5 Mortal Kombat can score a 9.0, plain and simple.

There's something we completely agree on.. MVC 3 was the third game I ever wrote a review for and damn.. although I still give it an 8, if it can get 8.5 here than by golly MK9 could probably get 10.

Think Mortal Kombat's score will ultimately depend on how deep and fun the combat system is. The last Mortal Kombat I played was Deadly Alliance. While it was fun and had some cool extras, I didn't really enjoy the "dial-in" combos the game had in place.

Im pretty impressed with the number of extras shown in the game, it just needs to deliver on the core fighting mechanics.

One thing I never quite understood is why the Mortal Kombat tournament stick is laid out the way it is. I have no problem with having a batstick or concave buttons, but what's up with the funky button layout? i can't even begin to imagine how that would be ergonomical/comfortable. It's like they're trying to reinvent the wheel.

I'm hyping aaaa and as long as it is aaaa for me it's enough , also that's the option that denotates my love for this franchise.

if you ever played Mortal Kombat at the arcades... that's how the button layout is. The block button in the middle for easy access.

^^^ The above character models look bad ass! And Jade's model made my trousers small, lol. But seriously the character models in Mortal Kombat 9 are by far the best in the series and not just because of the upgraded graphics. NeitherRealm really put a lot of thought behind each characters look.

That's nice but I wasn't referring to her....Jade has never looked asian.

I've never seen any asians that dark before personally -- she always looked more indian/black then anything if you don't count the movie. But no biggie either way.

I never played Deception, but yeah they made her look really amazonian/black, but she's really asian.

She was a dark asian(cantonese, thai) in UMK3 and MKII.

MK9 is going by the roots of the series and they chose to go with Jade's original skin color than whatever they did in Deception.

The MK demo plays like 2D MK, is awesome and Mileena's finisher is sexy, that is all.

Yeah. I wish Microsoft would try to get exclusive content for a quality game like this instead of using all their resources for games like CoD Black Ops or Homefront.
