I always hated Sub Zero lol. But Scorpion isn't my favorite either. I am guessing Noob or Smoke will be one of my favorites this time, but who knows!

If you're talking about the ninjas it goes like this:

Rain > Ermac > Scorpion> Noob Saibot > Sub-Zero > Smoke > Reptile

Rain = Half-God

Ermac = Collection of Souls inhabiting one body.

Scorpion = Spectre

Sub-Zero = Cryomancer

Smoke = Phantom

Noob Saibot = Wraith

Reptile = Reptile

Scorpion has shown many times that he is stronger than Sub-Zero(younger version) and only died by the original Sub-Zero(Noob Saibot). Rain is a half god and one of the strongest of the palette ninjas. Same goes for Ermac and Noob Saibot, their powers are other worldly. Smoke and Reptile should be around the same strength story wise.

But none of this matters gameplay wise. Because I'm going to make Cyrax chop every ninja I come across... (his human form is in the game, so you better believe it I'm going to use that alt)

• This will be a hell of a week for MK fans around the world, specially for the Brazilian ones! Moments ago, Hector Sanchez presented the game for the Brazilian public at a Books & Eletronics Store in a Mall here in São Paulo, showing some new gamplay and some new modes, such as the Fatality Training. Here are some of the highlights from the event:

• The online mode will be restricted to your area. E.g., if your playing from the west part of the USA, you'll only be able to play against people from the same region. Sanchez explained that this decision was made in order to prevent lags during online matches.

• The Lady In Red? "She'll be there", says Sanchez. I wonder what he exactly meant. Cameo in a Stage, Cameo in the Challenge Tower or actually playable?

• Kratos will be heavily promoted soon, which is why nearly nothing was released about him at the moment.

• Xbox360 will have some kind of exclusive content, rather than an exclusive character, which will be announced soon.

• All those Bios and Endings are REAL, and Hector said that "it was an act of 'bad character' from those who made these leaks".

• We'll see human Sektor and Cyrax in action, as he stated that part of the Story mode will take place before the Lin Kuei automation, but it wasn'tclear if their human forms will be playable.

• He confirmed Cyber Sub-Zero, and said that he will have an unique set of moves and story. He said also that the team is not certain about his inclusion in future MK games.

• Sonya has her ****c MK4 Leg Split Fatality! The combination will be [/, /, , X] for the Xbox.

I have no idea if that online restriction mess is true but I sure as heck hope not -- that would totally be the first bit of bad news I've heard about this game.

"Contrary 2 some claims, we're not restricting MK online play within regions. Someone in Florida will be able to play someone in California."

So I just got done playing the demo, it was really really fun and the robot animations didn't bother me as much as the previous MK games.

It's not the deepest fighter nor the simplest, but it manages to be fun and simple at the same time, which is what I cannot say about a lot of casual fighters(Brawl and Jump Ultimate Stars).

Like all Mortal Kombat games they will be chock full of features but ultimately lack a bit of polish and fluidity and will recieve around 7.5. Ultimately they will be worth getting for any fighting aficionado. Kind of like an Alpha Romeo, a car likely to fall apart but you'll never drive anything like it.

nice impressions. I kinda figured scorp would be the most easy and flexiable to use. Oh well at least it will make me feel even better when I win with sub.

I have NOT bought a fighting game in probably 10-15 years if not longer..BUT for some reason this game has my attention. Ive been eyeballing MvC3 but I hate how crazy it is...SO I "MIGHT" just go with this new Mortal Kombat just for the heck of it..

Honestly, I know I'll get shot for this, but I'm enjoying this MK demo much more than the entirety of MvC3 lol. And I'm no MK fanboy, just a long time fan. If I had to rank my favorite 2d fighters this gen it would go...

SSF4 > MK demo > MvC3 lol.

I'm not saying the demo has the longevity of MvC3, but damn I'm having a lot more fun with it, plus its actually *gasp* a whole hell of a lot more challenging. :o

I have no doubt that the full game will be much better than MvC3.

Agh! I have no idea which version to get! My friends are mostly on Xbox live and i preferXBL since it's much more slick and smooth than the PSN interface. On the other had it looks like the PS3 version gets special treatment so i don't know which version i should buy!

THe one with your friends. I mean its a fighter and im pretty sure your going to wanna play with them. Unless they get it for ps3 that is. Me and a friend are both getting it for ps3. I usally get everythign for my ps3 since its my console of choice.

What is the point of ordering two of the same game but different editions. You know game companies are screwing people over if they have to buy two or more of their game to get everything they want. Unless you are getting it for a friend or something. But I see no justification in doing for another reason.

The point is, as a collector I will keep the "kollectors" edition sealed just like I have with many of the other collectors editions I own. It really paid off for Demon Souls collectors which is worth about $250 bucks new on ebay right now.

I guess we'll find out when the 360 version's demo comes out. The 'Kombat Kontinues' ingame trailer must be different from the PS3's version as that has Kratos in it.

AAA!! there's no way it could get a lower score than a high AA. It's classic Mk with HD graphics, more combos, gruesome fatalities, andmore content. I grew up playing Mortal Kombat and pretty much every game after Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 has been utter crap.

I was wondering will MK9 have 4 players online to a match? So you can tag your partner for him to continue and then tag back, same for the opposing team of course. Such options for online tag matches would be great.

I think Boon twitted a long time ago about maybe the inclusion of a Killer Instinct character, but i assume the idea have been thrown away.
