MS changing their Architecture for Next Box?

Do you think MS (assuming the rumors were true like the PS 4) could change their  Architecture to beef up their system to match or far pass the PS 4?  It's no secreat that MS has a bigger bank roll than Sony and Nintendo and could beat them in pricing, but the utter silence from MS after the PS 4 revile makes me wonder if they're tweaking the Next Box  a bit or do you think it would be too late?

And before anyone says anything I'm no Lem, I'm probably going PS 4 unless Sony does something really stupid like charge for online.

they probly wuld change their rumored 4gb  of ram to 8gb if anything, not sure if they would go 16, but they could do that too.

price planning for launch tho is crucial, they don't want the price to skyrocket.

Eh, there is probably going to be a processor parallel to the gaming CPU to handle OS tasks.  Other than that, no wizard sauce.

I think MS has a specific goal with nextbox that we will see this e3 and surrounding events. Im willing to bet that it will be feature rich especially given ms  is a software company. I think it will contain enough horsepower to compete with next gen gaming in terms of performance and I think ms will try to market to all demographics in gaming just like this gen. cant wait for an announcement

They can't do that with incurring some massive costs. M$ may have deep pockets, but I doubt they want to lose a lot of money on each sale of the NextBox.

If we assume the rumors are correct, it's still unlikely they could make any signifficant changes to the architecture, most of their plans are probably finalized by now, especially with the reveal coming next month...

It's too late for that. Everything theyre doing now is social gaming/media , creating deals, prepping kinect etc. The insides are ready

xactly. people love those & sub allot of them. they r good at software, so even hardware a bit or a lot weaker, the software will probalby help them thru next gen.

the challenge of making actual good kinect 2 games seems their intent.(still not sure if possible)

plus, subs to xbox live gold is money in the bank. people feel invested and want to keep subbing.

there is also diff ram to consider, also it could be from 4 to 12, we don't know.

my main concern is i don't want to pay for kinect 2, i hope that's not a forced pack in.

Does it ever occur to anyone that MS might not necessarily see Sony as their competition anymore?  The Wii did almost as good a job getting into living rooms as the PS2 did this gen.  MS wants Live accounts in 100 million homes.  Perhaps they don't see gaming as even the main avenue of doing that?

the next machine has been designed around this concept. 360 went thru updates to achieve. 720 can do from day 1. this is the future.

Oh we have a clue. The leaks on the PS4 were true so I believe the specs on the Xbox to be true as well. And yes even before the meeting there were rumors that Sony wanted to bump the memory up to 8GB. So info is out there you just choose to ignore it.
