looks like mgs 4 will get goty because there surely is no other game out now or coming soon that deserves that title.-RenegadeNG2 was NEVER in the running for GoTY. Maybe ACTION game of the year. But not GoTY.
In before the...
"IGN doesnt count"
But wow I thought this would be a for sure AAA title for the 360 this year. This and Geow2.
I'm not surprised. Decent score.
I guess IGN reviewers' thumbs were still sore after NG:Black or the orignal NG. They probably didn't see anything significantly or drastically different on NGII compared to NGB.
They docked it for frame rate btw, guys..Couth_Shocking, to be honest. No NG iterration before this one has had framerate issues of any kind. I look forward to hearing more about this.
And I see they didn't do any better on the story. an 8.0 there is very unsuprising, yet we hoped for better.

lol I know, cows have crack in their grass and lemmings are just...well rodents lol
I expect this to get a 9 here...especially after the Haze review...IGn is now giving lower scores than Gamespotprimetime2121
Yeah, Wiiware titles are so much higher scoring on GameSpot...oh wait! Bottom line is there is no way to really predict what this game will get on GS. However, I've guessed 8.5 for awhile now.

Yeah I had seen a lot of NG fans boast about the frames of this game, so that was surprising to me.lemmings will not have a happy holiday today. this news will make GameSpot AAA that seemed so sure so...unsure.

I think you should put the popcorn away, its already really late and I dont think you're gonna see many 10 year olds up right now complaining about the score.

And sometimes I feel like unless it affects gameplay, marking down for the ocassional framerate drop is very bold.

Yeah I had seen a lot of NG fans boast about the frames of this game, so that was surprising to me.I just used find (dont feel like reading the whole review atm) and they say theres frame rate problems for their "review build". If Im not mistaken Lost oddessy had the same problem with their review build and had longer load times. Im not saying the retail copy will be better, but it could be the same situation.
"The only trouble is that our review build had trouble maintaining a solid framerate throughout the adventure. Quite a few times when there were explosions on screen the game would start chugging. Late in the game when the levels toss huge numbers of enemies at you the game would crawl. Occasionally this was actually cool -- when things move a bit slower you can actually appreciate the artful movements on screen -- but more often it left me a bit disappointed that the framerate wasn't locked down."
If this game was released on PS3 this issue would not have happpened. Ninja Gaiden Sigma ran flawlessly on PS3 @60 fps and in 1080p!

They said "OUR review build" so the framerate might not be included within the final product.
NG: Sigma is 720p upscaled. and I see no reason to make any assumptions about what would or would not have happened on another platform."The only trouble is that our review build had trouble maintaining a solid framerate throughout the adventure. Hu? Im commenting from their review, and what has happened in the past. I have no idea if this is the same situation, and we wont know till the game is released.
And Sigma had a lot less going on."The only trouble is that our review build had trouble maintaining a solid framerate throughout the adventure. You raise an interesting point. I guess we will probably just have to wait for other reviews to see if the frame rate problems are as big has IGN claims they are.
