Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 GS review: 8.5

NG is a franchise 8-9 rated games. They are doing the same thing over and over again. However, Halos are 9+ games. To GS, Shooters are better than fighters.

Professional reviews (especially mainstream reviews) are predictable,the same overhyped mainstream crap gets praised while the unique games get overlooked and receive only modest scores.that's why I just go by word of mouth or user reviews when seeking out new games.

The boob thing is good for a giggle, but when Momiji is hugging a young boy and you can bounce her boobs up and down on his head, surely there's something wrong there. Maybe it's a dream come true for the kid, but my guess is that shaking boobies reduce the impact of such a scene in a game that takes itself relatively seriously. Maybe in the underappreciated and absolutely shameless Ninja Blade, but it seems weird here.

Of course, this IS Team Ninja. I often wondered if they have a breast development team there. I will say this: It's a better use than Ninja Gaiden Sigma's, which made you shake the controller to power up Ninpo.

I wonder if they hire models to test real-life boob physics? Just a random thought. Or what if they used the same functionality to jiggle Ryu's junk? The possibilities are endless.

However, I'm actually more concerned with whether or not you deducted points for something that was essentially irrelevant to the gameplay. What I'm hoping to hear is that just because you listed it as "The Bad," that doesn't necessarily mean you decreased the score.

a rather quiet 'hrghhhfpharghmmhpharg' thats all i can think of anyway i think the whole sixaxis boos thing was just pointless and reeks of desperation for attention good review however

I'm glad you're putting a lot of time into your reviews. Some of the reviews I watch/read seem rushed and its very evident that the reviewer didn't complete the majority of the game. I agree with your 8.5 score of NGS2.

Personally, I gave it a 9.5, but thats mainly because I've been craving to play this game for the past 3 months. One thing that you may have wanted to put as a con of the game is sometime during combat the game will randomly stop and load for a second or 2. It's not a huge deal, but it does kind of interrupt the flow of things in the midst of a tough fight. I still found it was a solid review and emphasized the strengths of the new content.

As someone who is a Ninja Gaiden fanatic, I'd have to disagree with the review. I haven't beaten the game yet, but what I have played feels like a step down from the 360 version. It has a good amount of new content, but they made too many changes to the underlying gameplay (many of which are for the worse, such as the overpowered new weapon, unlimited secondary ammo, and the new way that weapon upgrades are handled) and some of the new content is pretty bad (Momiji's level sucked hard, and she isn't that much fun to play as) for me to consider this a better version than the 360 version.

Since you can easily get the 360 version for $20 these days, get that one instead. It has better gameplay, a better camera, and actual difficulty.

lol I thought it was kind of creepy, I saw a trailer which had loads of Japenese men drooling with there mouths open slowly moving the Playstation controller up and down and then it showed Ayanes boobs slowly bouncing up and down.

Nice score and great game, will get this later down the road when it is lower price. I had 360 played NG2 so this is not top on the buy list, it is so many other great games coming now.

Ninja Gaiden 2 on the 360 seemed a lot more unpolished and I have heard many many many people saying how the game was cheap instead of being genuinely difficult, like ninja gaiden black. So i might end up getting NGS2. Im not a noob in the franchise, I did complete every difficulty on ninja gaiden black and all the missions (except for ninja dog mode :lol: )

quite a few did actually...

alot of cows stated the tweaked graphics and new content was gonna make NGS2 a AAA game and the ultimate Ninja gaiden experience (one or two people even stated it would be AAAA).Yet sure enough,the game only got a whopping point higher than the original,now we're gonna downplay it with some "buh buh but it's a port from a year old game,you can't expect them to re-review and praise a game they already played" apologist BS. :roll:

So far the game dosent seem that hard.. i beat 4 chapters already but on the easy mode which is not warrior mode.. its a great game and not hard

I never got people's beef with the rocket launcher guys,just pay attention and use a smart strategy.and they go down easy.I can think of way cheaper enemies in NG2, like those Battlemech/Gundam looking guys.
