Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 GS review: 8.5

So, if you own both systems, and wanted to play this game, you could buy the 360 version (19US$ on amazon) or the ps3 version (57uS$) on amazon. Hmmm seems like a no brainer to me.

I can't believe this thread is still going...Sigma 2 isn't even exclusive. Didn't think so much commotion would be made over a revamped version of a game.

the xbots are everywhere in the thread, this isn't strange, it's a lost exclusive getting better on the PS3, SO4 will be another one soon, NGS2 was the begining.

i would like to be clear abt something, NGS2 is not a port, the new twicks, the added and the removed content is making the game another experience, easier or not, this doesn't matter, IT'S MORE FUN to play (accordig to all the reviewers so far , and thank god i didn't play NG2 yet, so this game will be like sex to me;)), there is more stuff to play and discover, the replaybility is far more rewarding and longer wz the new version, it's a must have for PS3 owners and NG fans, so xbots aren't invited, so plzzzz GET OUT!!!!!!

haha it's true..the first couple of lvls are a cinch,then boom!!..this big drop-off,and you're in a world of pain!

One minute,you're performing flying swallows and wiping guys out with ease....and the next,you're fending off 6-7 of those Mech/gundam looking guys while at the same time having guys in the back-ground spamming rockets that you need to dodge. :P

Sigma wasn't considered a PS3 exclusive on these forums is the only problem. Regardless of a "only on Playstation" logo. Mass Effect on 360 has the "only on Xbox" logo as well. Doesn't make it exclusive. I understand getting hyped about it. I'll probably end up getting it when it's around $40. But, really, Demons Souls and Uncharted 2 come out this month. Both are far more deserving of praise IMO. And they're actual exclusives playable in no way on another console.

Owned and beat NG2 for 360. Will rent to do co-op and to accumulate more trophies as the new content doesn't warrant a purchase at all IMO, even at bargain bin prices. The perfect game to keep me busy until Uncharted 2 comes out.

doesnt matter which system its on, its one of the most fast paced, badass action games ever

wow can't believe this thread blew up this huge, lolz lems can't take the fact that its the better version. I mean bu bu only .5 betta! is just the worst DC I've seen on these boards.

I'll be picking this up sometime during dec. after I'm done with U2 and Demon's but I enjoyed the demo and coop was a lot of fun and should lead to some nerve racking, argument ensuing, friend leaving, friend making up, and high five moments especially at the higher difficulties which just looks brutal judging from TOTS.

i just goes to show you that NG2 on 360 was really a 6.5 game.

Actually it doesn't say "only on Playstation" instead it just says "Playstation Network" :? unless mines an odd copy?:O.

Haha they listed the Sixaxis functionality as a con. :P Expected score though, same game, improved visuals, and more content.

I am willing to bet that trading blood for purple mist allowed Team Ninja to improve the frame rate.

quite a few did actually...

alot of cows stated the tweaked graphics and new content was gonna make NGS2 a AAA game and the ultimate Ninja gaiden experience (one or two people even stated it would be AAAA).Yet sure enough,the game only got a whopping point higher than the original,now we're gonna downplay it with some "buh buh but it's a port from a year old game,you can't expect them to re-review and praise a game they already played" apologist BS. :roll:

Big mistake. Odst has to be the worst shooter I have ever bought. It's going on ebay right now and I will be getting sigma 2 instead.

The framerate issues came from all of the bodies that were on screen at one time, not the blood.
