Are Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Ninja Gaiden Black the same game, being as how soooo many people think they areand lots of people who think the aren't the same game on other threads I thought of making this thread so we can all express our opinions AND facts here. Now according to what I found in Wikipedia(You can go and read yourself), Ninja Gaiden Sigma is the same game as Ninja Gaiden Black but updated graphically and with a few added bonuses, and also some stuff that was present in NGB was taken out in NGS...So now I want for you to post your FACTS and OPINIONS on this issue so we can all end this discussion.

Seeing the results in the voting. BTW thanks to the SW community for voting.

Over 400 votes saying that they're the same game. I guess we may have finally settled this.

Yes. Except with added weapons and difficulties and a few other things

See now, Sigma has more content than Black. Which implies that they are in fact, 2 seperate games! Also noteworthy, the person that made Black, did not make Sigma! How could this be possible if they were the same game?! :o

They're different games, but neither are exclusives. Get over it, we established this weeks ago.

I'm the lone person who doesn't like it apparently.

They're the same core game, Team Ninja likey rehash.

However, it's got substantially different material. Personally, I think "exclusive" is a serious stretch, but at the same time you're not playing Sigma when you're playing Black. Playstation 3 fans should feel proud that they have a good title, even if it's a horrible milkfest rehash.

and more puzzles.

I have played both and say both are diffrent.

Resident Evil 4 for the Wii is the same game as the GC version even though it has extra missions (assignment ada and separate ways) and extra weapons and clothes.

Same deal with Ninja gaiden Sigma and Black. Get real fanboys.

• Graphics have been overhauled to take advantage of the high definition capability of the PS3. This includes additional frames of animation (e.g. new staggering animations for some humanoid enemies).
• Part of one FMV has been replaced with an in-game cutscene
• Changes to some of the original level designs and mission mode missions
  • Rachel's story chapters are inserted in amongst Ryu's
  • Some items have their locations moved
  • This includes the addition and removal of some encounters
  • One boss encounter has been reworked, with minor changes to two others
• Some enemies' specifications (AI, damage, etc) have been changed
• Changes to Ryu's reverse wind technique
• Ryu can now run and fight on water surfaces, as well as shoot arrows in mid-air
• The speargun is now ****fied as a projectile weapon
• Ryu can now use restoration items without going through menus

The following are new additions:

• A new playable character, Rachel, the demon hunter
  • She is playable in only three of her own chapters and 11 missions in Mission Mode (two of which are missions requiring to be unlocked)
  • She can only use the Warhammer, the Peluda Tail, and Blades of Ouroborus as her weapons
  • Whereas Ryu unlocks costumes, she can obtain seven hair**** (besides her default hair****.
• A new weapon for Ryu, a set of dual katanas called Dragon's Claw & Tiger's Fang
• Three new enemies have been added
  • MVATs (MSAT bikers), girtablilu (the mermen), and phantoms (balls of blue flames)
• Two new bosses have been added
  • Gamov, and Alternator (a Dynamo-like enemy)
• Shaking the Sixaxis controller will increase the strength of the ninpo being casted
• Many more save points and shop locations are added into Story Mode

Contrary to claims of this being the "more complete" version[55][56][57], the following has been removed as compared to Ninja Gaiden Black.

• The opening introductory movie of the legend between the Dragon Sword and the Dark Dragon Blade
• Movie Theater (this means the player will be unable to view the remaining 480p movies outside of Story Mode)

Let me list it out for you:

Contrary to claims of this being the "more complete" version, the following has been removed as compared to its predecessors.

• NES or Arcade versions of Ninja Gaiden previously unlocked as bonuses in the Xbox Ninja Gaiden / Ninja Gaiden Black

Same core game withsome tweaks, but not different enough to count as some new exclusive.

It's like the difference between Onimusha on the PS2 and Genma Onimusha on the XBox. Little coat of newly addedpaint, some new content, but basically the same game at heart.

It's exclusive until it releases on the PC. It's still not available on PC, so it's still 360 exclusive.

Excuse me while I play Guitar Hero 2 exclusively on the Xbox 360. I mean, it does have new songs, better graphics, downloadable content, and online leaderboards. Chalk one up for the 360!
