Nanea Reeves, chief product officer for Gaikai cloud gaming service believes that one major console manufacturer wont be creating a next generation device. Industry Gamers seem to believe that Reeves has inside knowledge and that perhaps the console manufacturer will instead create a major cloud gaming partnership with Gaikai instead of creating brand new hardware. Any guesses as to which console manufacturer it will be?

"Not all of the current console makers will have one more generation. That will be the big news at E3."

Going cloud-based is effectively a sign of SOny moving out of console business completely. Next console will propably be the last playstation and after that they will just switch to being services provider for users of other platforms.

It's OBVIOUS Sony will always include physical media because they push propiety formats, but it wont have anything to do with gaming.

There's no need for a PS4 yet imho. The people who complain how outdated it's graphics tech is should game on PC anyway. Sony should focus on delivering a good and stready line up of exclusives for the PS3 and Vita. When and if MS makes a new system, it will be time for Sony to react, not sooner. And in their own words: "Nintendo are in another league".
