Why are people still using arkham city as a benchmark, that games Dx11 is an unoptimized piece of crap.

[QUOTE="MK-Professor"]BS. 7800 GTX was more powerful than the 360's GPU when it launched. 7900 launched immediately after and beat it by a good margin. Only reason they're so close this time is they're going with x86 architecture favoring dev accessibility over performance.Next gen consoles are just so far behind this time.
January 2004 - 22 months before xbox360 release there wasn't a GPU setup that could even come close to the xbox360 performance.
November 2005 - xbox360 released. (still thee is no pc gpu is better than xbox360 gpu)
January 2012 - released a single GPU (HD7970GHz) that performs 2 times better than ps4 GPU. (I don't even gone to compare the xboxOne GPU LOL)
November 2013 - ps4 released. (22 months late and half the performance).next gen consoles are so irrelevant this time, I don't even know why they are exist.
hexashadow13
7800GTX and x1950pro have similar power rasterization hardware, hence similar performance at less shader bias games. As games shift towards shader compute heavy games, 7800GTX was shown to have inferior shader feature capabilities.
sum it up:
in games from 2005 to 2006
7800GTX = x1950pro = xboxGPU
after that when games start to shift towards heavy compute shader. the 7800GTX just couldn't keep up
x1950pro = xboxGPU
Keep your benchmarks. Consoles have exclusives games, so they will keep existing. I think the majority of gamers look for a great experience overrall rather than some realistic graphics. Look at Blood Dragon the game tries to look dated with all the stripes and ridiculous colors, but as a whole its a bloody great experience specially for someone who likes 80's sci fi movies. The graphics are a minor plus.dantesergei
Well. To have exclusive games, consoles need to sell enough units. I would say some 10M units at least. Otherwise they will have as many exclusives as WiiU:P
instant death noob game? now who sounds like the noob here... BF is more fun than KZ. true story.lol what that has to do with anything? more satisfiying to win a 1v1 than a 32v32. KZ2 is not an instant death noob game.

Star Citizen says HI.
Pretty sure Star Citizen only needs a 660 to be on high. A 780, titan and 800 series (if they come out before the game) would be almost overkill for the game, going from what the devs have been saying a 660,670 and 680 should run Star Citizen pretty damn well.

You should check only low and average fps in the benchmarks because only those are real performance indicators.
And according to Gamespots´s benchmarks
GTX780 ourperformed Titan in
Metro Last Light
Batman Archam City
Tomb Raider
Titan ourperformed GTX780 by a very low margin in
Bioshock Infinite
Battlefield 3
And almost had a draw in Crysis 3.
I didn´t say it outperforms in all benchmarks :D

already pointed out that other hardware review sites contradict this, but the 780 is within 10% of the titan

Probably. Last time I checked 670 was a recommended GPU. But anyway, I think you will need something more powerwul than 670 to max it.
With 660 you will be good at 1080p and medium/high settings.

True, but most people with 660,670 or 680 could still run SC pretty well compared to people who actually need to upgrade a GC, as someone who is about to upgrade their GC (hopefully in the next year) I'd rather just spend the $360 ish dollars and get a 670 which is still a beastly GC, I could save $300 and put it towards something else like a new processor, bigger monitor or a newer/less lame tower (I have a lame tower).

They made a few optimization to the GK110 chip Titan is based on and slightly increased core clock to 900Mhz. I don´t like anandtech benchmark because it doesn´t show the lowest fps.
But if you check Tomshardware review. for example, it´s notciable that the red line dominates the black line.

Well, it is pretty damn powerful... if you're playing on 1080p, it's an overkill.
If you're playing at resolutions above 1080p, you'll have a very pleasant gaming experience. Honestly, I'm tempted to get one for myself, plus a solid 1440p monitor... but that'd be costly. Think I'll settle for a bit of waiting before making that jump.

Did it ever occur to consolites that people buy these parts because there enthusiasts? That maybe pc gamers enjoy working/building/upgrading pc's as a hobby? Half of the enjoyment of owning a gaming pc IS the pc itself. Something no consolite will ever understand. I built my gaming experience with my two hands. And that's a very comforting thought. Motokid6
Unfortunately our console only brethren cannot comprehend this aspect of PC gaming. It all comes down to what someone prefers or what they believe is needed. I prefer an Aberdeen Angus fillet steak but many more would rather settle for a rump steak from a random super market shelf because it's easy and conventient.

Yes. But Frame Time Variance is always better on GTX780, which means higher values for the lowest fps. And the lowest fps is very important because it musn´t fall under 30 fps, otherwise the gamer will notice it.
