Halo 3 looks amazing to me......it really does:)

It looked pretty good.

Not much of a leap from halo 2 in terms of what the trailer showed.

It really, really does. The jungle level is SO impressive and that boss battle towards the end looked awesome. The part where MC puts the pistol under the arbiters chin was cool...but how about the end? Was that the MC about to self-destruct a Halo, with him in it???

One word can describe what I saw in the trailer (HD Version)... Unimpressed. I Liked the action and how much was going on at once, but the graphics just weren't there. I love the artstyle but the trailer showed nothing epic and nothing mind blowingly good. The foliage in the jungle was laughable with blocky trees. Water effects seemed ok Character models were average by todays standards. The gameplay looks like the same halo we have been playign for years (which depending on the person is good or bad) which for me is a good thing.

I'll buy the game and I'm still hoping it will be good but this trailer left me unimpressed and I am a huge halo fan.

My opinion of Halo 3 keeps bloody chaging...

E3 Trailer - relativley exited, was impressed

Multuplayer screens released - sudden change of opinion - i didnt give a toss anymore - underwhelmed

Got the beta - good fun but nothing blew me away - still underwhelmed

More screens + info - beginning to take more intrest, still very skeptical

E3 07 trailer - Actually relativley exited - while the visuals were so,so the gameplay looked like fun - though quite similar previous incarnations of the game.

Aftermath - Im still anticipating the release, I cant help but agree with Playerpat0 too a degree..... Its like being hit with a wet fish. He has really good points, and I cant help but be a tad pessimisitc again.

Woa its like puberty all over again :P

Fair enough, but in the end, to me Bungie has addressed all of the criticisms the Halo fanbase had with Halo 2. What more could we ask for?

teamxbox got a look at one of th single player levels after the press conference and heres what they said

With that, our all-too-brief Halo 3 single-player demo ended, and the lights were brought up. Nearly everyone in attendance agreed that this was the footage that Microsoft should have closed the press conference with, as it surely would have impressed just about everyone in attendance. The game is definitely shaping up nicely, and the single-player campaign looks much better than the multiplayer. We'll be bringing you more information on Halo 3 later this afternoon, as we'll be checking out some different elements during our E3 meeting with Microsoft.

I mean the other Halos promised quite a fair bit - that never came through e.g. - CE - Huge open enivroments, 2 - Destructible pieces terrain, and it never pulled through.

I mean to put things in perspective - I was expecting soo much, and hyped for Halo CE, that when I played it I was underwhelmed. That didnt stop me from enjoying it, but well, yea...

Im glad to see bungie admitting Halo 2 was butchered here and there, but like I said, im going to remain a skeptical realist :P That still dosent stop me from anticipating the game though :P

Quite frankly its 4 player co-op that has me the most exited. :) I mean Far Cry 4 player co-op (mod) was soo freaking awesome, so that gives me an idea of how good 4 player H3 co-op will be ;)

Sure, if that makes you sleep better. As a Halo fan i couldn't be happier. The game looks and PLAYS great. Killzone looks great, I have no problem admitting that so thats good for the cow camp, but you guys have no idea how it plays.

Killzone 2 trailer was in-engine just like halo 3 e306 trailer was and look how that turned out.

K, there I agree with you. Some of the animations were jerky. But in all honesty, I thiink they put some new footage and old footage in there, because there was a noticeable difference in quality in some of the shots.

Hmm... I'm still not that impressed by the KZ2 trailer, everything just seemed so washed out and drab looking.. and dark. Maybe if everything in the Halo 3 trailer was set at night it would have looked better :P. I still think they should have shown actual first person action for the Halo 3 trailer.

There is so much more in Halo 3,so itsa proud moment you mean.

Its a different Art style - im sure Halo games know that - I mean Halo has a very vibrant and coul art style. Killzone's is very girtty and dark.
