Agreed, they had a demo backstage that was not shown for some reason. This should have been shown becuase it would have shown how beautifull Halo 3 really is.

:roll: You're mistaken, all the games you listed are all hype (except for Unreal), the Halo series is still the best FPS on any console.

HAZE? UT3 is on the PC(Will be MUCH better on the PC) and only a timed exclusive. I'm not even gonna comment on "infamous" since it apparently isn't even important enough to make any news.

I also agree. They should of showed more of Halo3 than just a bunch of extremely short clips of gameplay, where you couldn't even tell what was going on, and some cut scenes.

Ok I went through the trailer and got pics. sorry they are blurry and kinda jaggie but that can't be helped since the video is movinf to fast to get any clear pics.

I like this picture. Its taken with a crappy camera, but i just thought it was a nice scene. Anywho, if you check IGN or TeamXbox they both agree that the closed-doors demo SHOULD have been shown and it would have been far more impressive if it had. Bungie dont want to show anything to do with the campaign which you'll actually be playing however.

Graphically, some of the aspects of the trailer looked like they needed work

but in terms of gameplay and fun and storyline I'm more pumped than ever. :D

C'mon Bungie. Best game ever, here we come. Sept 25/26th.

I don't care if it's the same, or if it's new, or if there's anything else about it that haters say.

I just want to play it, kill some stuff, then see the end to the story arc.

Was one of the few games that looked like a let down compared to all the others that exceeded expectations.

And I wasn't even holding out high expectations for this game, just more Halo.

It really felt like watch Halo 2 in HD...

They animation of the elites in Halo CE had smoother animation than the brutes that they showed.

Now for all of this nonsense about comparing Killzone 2 to Halo 3..... please stop everyone. The have two different art styles Halo is a Sci-Fi based, while Killzone is taking a more "realistic" graphics approach. Both look fantastic. The only thing is Halo has proven to be a quality game in the past in both graphics and game play. Killzone looks to have the graphics down but the game play is still a question mark.

Halo 3 is beautiful, you just couldn't get a good sense of that from the wierd trailer.

That cutscene will not ship that way. The trailer had to be done by some time around a month ago. That leaves Bungie 3 good months to tweak the animations and FPS.

Yeah and they have DAMN FX helping them out now. Watch, in two months it will look better.

PS: Sorry for the bad resolution, I used Fraps to get the images off Windows Media, and it kinda stretchedthe pictures. I also havn't registered to Fraps so I can only make .bmp images which take lots of space so this took me a while. Talking about the E3 '07 trailer. Bungie showed some old/unfinished footage which literally looked like Halo 2 HD.

In any case, I don't care about the graphics. Unlike most SW people here, anyone that really dug games for what they were would've noticed Halo 3 is nothing short of amazing.

To me the thing is that Halo didn't match last year E3 ''teaser'', the one that lemmings kept hyping, despte it looking good, and that it's not just about graphcs, they are trying to dich that now. Just like Killzone, looks god but didn't really it's past ''trailer''.tegovoltio

I did not expect drones to pick up marines and taunt the Chief. I did not expect the Arbiter and Chief to personally fight alongside each other. I didn't expect the Chief to be fighting massive quadrepal walkers and I saw a glimpse of the insight into Cortana's state of rampancy.

In terms of content, Halo 3 blew away. Graphically, according to the E3 trailer, it sucked.

I was talking about the game quality when I say it's not all about graphics. Therefore pointing your first line.

I love halo and Xbox 360, I've put more hours into the halo series than any other, and i've been in gaming since the NES days, but I gotta say I was extremely unimpressed with the trailer. I was completely in awe and was blown away by killzone 2 and MGS 4 but Halo 3 left me indifferent. I have a feeling Halo 3 will score similar to Halo 2 (9.0 or 9.5 since the score system is terrible now), but will be nominated for most disapointing game of the year. Sorry, but I'm being honest.

Just to prove my point, pause the video (HD preferred) on the close of up for the girls face who was in Halo 2 (cant remember her name sorry). Graphically, the whole scene looks straight out of Halo 2. Killzone 2 and MGS 4, for now, look almost a full generation ahead of Halo 3.

The trailer wasn't suppose to show the game play in Halo 3. It was merely to show what happens in the single player campaign.

There was pretty much nothing we haven't seen before. No hint of complex A.I tactics, no evolutionary features of dual wielding or jacking, none of that.

Again what I mean, as you said, is that the complains are about the graphics, that's my point, we all ''should'' know that even if the graphics don't deliver that doesn't mean the game is going to be bad, so bringing up gameplay is a bit pointless at this point since you said yourself the trailer wasn't really to show off much gameplay.
