Correction, this is how console RTS games stacked up when rated on the PC RTS scale. Whether you like it or not, games on the Xbox360/PS3 are already rated on the same scale as PC games. To say otherwise is just fanboysim.

I have read through this thread, and you misunderstood me. I never said it was unfair to rate Halo Wars the way it was, I'm glad it was rated against proper RTS games, just like all other FPS's are rated properly across all platforms. RTS should not be an exception just because of a platform, unless it lacks the technology to power them, as is the case with handhelds. The PC is not disadvantaged when reviewing games. They are almost allways reviewed on the same scale of the consoles for a long time after the release of the PS3/Xbox 360, and when that is not the case that is because the critic is weak. CiV Rev should have been rated properly, but it wasn't because the critic displayed incompetence, and felt the need to compensate the score unnesecarily.

Another lame review from gamespot... After Fear 2, comes Halo Wars review... I Guess all the other websites I checked are ALL bought by microsoft because it has a 8.4 from IGN, a solib B from 1 up a couple of 9/10 on paper magazines, 16/20 on jeuxvideo.com ( I assume a French website bough by microsoft as well).

I can trully say I will never check gamespot rating in order to buy a game... What's next gamespot??? are going to give dawn of 2 a 5.5???

I would have expected the game to be judged by console standards, but I guess GS didn't feel like doing that this time.

He held it to PC standards..........he says scale isnt big.......well what do u expect its the 360, the framerate will suffer otherwise.

For the first time since I bought my Elite............I am questioning my faith.

BFME2 on the 360 has bigger scale from what I've played of the halo wars demo(maybe the best part of the game?)

Damage control in the purest form. "Gamespot have no credibility! Other critics gave the game a better score, why didn't GS?! Why don't they think the same way as everyone else?!!! Gamespot write lame reviews....". Could you have made that anymore blatant? Are you really that upset that someone didn't tell you what you wanted to hear? The world dosn't rotate around you, ya know. Some people will not allways align with your own way of thought, and that's called a "matter of opinion".

I have to admit, it's nice revenge to see Bungie fail after all those times I wished Halo was on my Gamcube or Wii. None the less, because it has Halo in the title it will sell millions.

Consolites are always making fun of us Hermits when some say "PC has higher standards". All of a sudden one of their games flop and guess what.........yes it floped because PC does have higher standards, if it would have been reviewed as a console game it would have owned.

This is why you don't try to blend a franchise into different genres.

Halo is a FPS. And there is should remain.

Leave the REAL RTS games to the likes of Command and Conquer.

Halo wars is a console RTS and as such it shouldn't be measured with PC RTS standards, but MGS4 has to be judged by PC standards despite it being a PS3 GAME? :lol:AgentA-Mi6
