Lol @ them trying to play the "its just a beta" angle, when the game comes out in 3 weeks :roll: Trolololol.

I can safely say that I am one of those preorders ;) (actually, I know ive said I canceled my preorder, but I actually HAVENT got around to doing it yet :lol: )

I don't buy that it's a real beta. The full game releases in less than three weeks for Christs' sake, it should be going gold soon.

I know it's an old build but my hype has fallen considerably.

Oh Im sorry! I missed the news conference when we we told that this beta was final code. It is a beta people which means it is not a finished product and in fact DICE has said that it is older code. Their primary reason for even having this beta was to stress test the servers. As far as those of you who have/will cancel your preorders, I say SEE YA!!! Wait for 11-5-11 to play MW2 all over again with the whiney 13 year olds. BF3 is day 1 for me!!! CANT WAIT!!

lololol and they were going after CoD sales and instead they lost their sales to CoD....so much self ownage.

They tried to cater to COD fans with metro. Bad idea IMO.

Oh and the console version sucked. Virtually unlplayable, huge letdown. BC2 was a blast and still is.

Beta's tend to be unfinished and not the code that will be shipped, if people are having problems why not be really smart (mind you most of PSN,XBL and admitantly some PC gamers) and go to the forums and post constructively and point out flaws,balance issues like a sensible person instead ofgong ZOMG ITS LIEK SO BAD..

I won't play the beta again, but I'm not going to lose hope because of an infantry Rush map.

I'm just worried they're cutting it very fine. Caspian Border is amazing but this game will be a complete letdown on consoles, people should not be getting their hopes up for it.

Also, I think prone will become a major issue for the game in the coming months.

true but its just mindbogglingly stupid, people have a chance to influence the end product and instead they send the wrong signals and baww bout it.Its like user reviews half the time they are veiled rants with little to no substance by people agains the game and badly paragpraphed and laid out aswell.

Because people are torn between two particular shooters this autumn. One is a safe bet and will net most of the sales. The other was the dark horse that could have knocked the other off it's perch but after this, I see no chance of this happening.

Regardless, it'll be the better game but obviously people have decided the other one is more deserving of it's money.

Its sad when people dont know the difference between a beta and a demo. Also its already been said tons of times this current beta is from an old build.

Well, it's their money and they could cancel their pre-order if they want. It's just the number of pre-order cancellations during the beta that is alarming. If it was a demo and not a beta, would people have reacted this way? Hmm.

Same could be said with these people who canceled, will probably end up buying it anyway. They'll soon find out it's a beta and they'll definitely miss out on the rest of the game which they haven't played.

I know, the map didnt help. I´ll end up getting it for sure but want to see some reviews first of console versions. If i had a powerful PC, this would be a day one for sure.

Battlefield fanboys deserve all the trolling and ridicule they get. It is poetic justice how they spent all this time b****ing about how CoD just copies its formula, when this game is literally the same game as BC2, but an inferior version. There is almost NO destrucatbility, which is the series staple game mechanic (and DICE has said this game wouldnt have as much destructability as BC2). You are basically getting Battlefield: Medal of Honor.

Indeed, Caspian looks awesome, would have been a better map to show off the game and attract more gamers, I mean, who doesnt love jets?

To be quite fair, the map they picked for the beta wasn't really the most ideal one to show off the game. that map + bipodded m240 is gods gift to campers

I do feel bad for the poor guys at DICE though. They are going to be the laughing stock of the internet when this unmitigated disaster of a game flops, and gets lower scores than MW3 (and prolly Black ops and Bad Company 2 for that matter :lol: ) and these poor guys have to suffer ridicule all because of EA's maximum trolling :lol:

This game is going to be a flop on Medal of Honor levels, and I cannot wait to see the look on Battlefield fanboy's faces.

Like other people said it is a Beta yes it might be coming out soon but it probably a earlier build then the current one. a "DEMO" is the final build of the game. So even if the game is done the Beta still might be a earlier build with glitches but I will say if that's the case bad move on EA/DICE to do that.

My point is more people have a chance to make a diffrence and influence the end outcome of the game then they give the wrong signals.Same happeend with TDU2 people essentially seen it as a free shot of a game before releaase and its the same with this.People arent using the beta for its intended use of finding flaws and picking out the irks in the gameplay.

Isnt that the whole point of a beta to get it all sorted and find the problems so we dont end up with a TDU2 again mind you it is better than no beta at all, i cant comment i've hardly touched mines as im working 8h shifts, and fitting in band practice and the sylosis gig tonight.But still my point stands is people need to stop throwing their toys out their prams and be constructive for once in lives.

The game is basically Bad Company: Medal of Honor edition. You get all the suck of Bad Company 2, minus the franchise's ONE unique gameplay mechanic (the destructability) :lol:. This game is going to be an unmitigated dissaster.

All the COD lads I forced to play it really enjoyed it, noting how "sick" the graphics were.

your basing that off metro alone, considering how Caspian is the polar opposite in every entire way.

DICE is so dumb, why in the world wont they let us play Caspian Border instead, that would generate so much more hype. Operation Metro is a huge letdown and i hate RUSH, Conquest is my favorite style.

Because its crap... BC2 feels more of a PC game. Browser play wtf is that? What made them think going on the internet to boot up the game was a good idea? Granted it does work good in the seance of me expecting it to be slow and shoddy. But still it just dont feel right.

This Gen has proved again scalable engines won't make a proper PC game when consoles are involved. You can make the graphics Amazing but when it comes down to gameplay BF2, BF2142 just feel like a PC game.

I had forgotten i pre-ordered BF3 until a few days ago when i brought something else off Amazon. After trying the BETA it was a cancel. And don't give me it was a BETA crap. The whole gameplay would not change after the BETA. BETA is for players to find out bugs and devs to fix them for release. What would be the point of a BETA if it was an old build....

Still not as bad as COD atleast....

I just also like to add i dont think BF3 will be a bad game. It just feels to much like BC2 for me to buy it yet.

I couldn't care less what you play.

My biggest problem is COD players coming into a BF game and playing it like it was a COD. Picking the Medic ****and not doing a single revive, jump in a chopper only to have it crash 10 meters further, picking the reckon and spending the entire game in the same bush trying to snipe people.

If those people leave because the beta was "bad" then I find that great news.
