[QUOTE="3picuri3"][QUOTE="TREAL_Since"] The point is that they aren't zombies. You keep saying zombies :?. They showed signs of communications, working as a group, and having full control of their motor skills in RE4. The only laughable thing I see is ammo in fruit . Quite funny indeed. Just a question: Would you like for it to control more like Gears? Or what would be your suggestions? I think anything would break the tension.blues35301
no, my fear was that they'd 'Gears' this game & in a sense they did, and that's why i hated the demo. it's too easy. ammo is all OVER the place. no challenge apart from the controls.
i've always felt that making controls convoluted in survival horror games to add to tension is weak design. at least give people the option to set their own controls - or put fewer things on modifiers if that makes sense.. all actions shouldn't require holding 2 buttons. my main gripe is that RT can't be moved off of 'locate partner' in any of the configurations, which leads me to think they're purposely making things difficult just to add difficulty to the game.. when instead, they could've taken a look at removing the nade / ammo melons.
and they'll always be zombies to me, despite their level of cognition. i just feel it introduce plot problems i outlined. if they're somewhat smart why aren't they picking up weapons other than cleavers? if you can use and operate a megaphone you sure as **** could use a gun.
Did you play 4? There was MORE ammo. And to you're gears complaints, GEARS OF WAR STEMMED FROM RESIDENT EVIL 4. yeah, i really remember ammo dropping from fruit. guess i'm just a lot better at the game this time around, or you're totally wrong. I'll go with number 2 based on the number of other people saying RE5=easy mode, kthx. and please. gears did not stem from re4. re5 did however talk time & time again about gears and how it was influencing their design & controls, but apparently not enough to make them non-convoluted. and they're zombies. period.
