I am playing the Campaign on an Xbox One X and the graphics are awesome, don't know what the haters are talking about. I haven't the time to play very much of the MP but they are finally fixing Big Team Battles. I am sure once they fix the progressive system and all new content players will return to it.

It's sad when Halo 3/Halo Reach are still the best Halo's. Hell the lack of unlockables in Infinite is just laughable at best.

@Ballroompirate: the unlockables were pretty trash. As for the game itself, the campaign was pretty solid

played some multiplayer over the weekend during the latest Fiesta event and had a great time.. and i'm not even a competitive multiplayer guy anymore so that's a testament to how fun the game is..

Still finishing up God of War on PC, probably going to pick up Elden Ring on day one, and there's a few other titles in Game Pass to try out.. the reality is that there is just so much to play right now and 343 is gonna need to step it up on the content if they want to reach the upper levels where Fortnite, Apex, and others are in terms of player count..

then there's the other reality that arena style shooters just aren't going to be as popular as battle royale shooters.. so maybe they aren't too worried about it and just want to make a good Halo game.. 🤷🏽‍♂️ at any rate, i'm still enjoying it and really want to dive into the online co-op when it's released..

@hardwenzen: Nothing out of context son, you just flip flop so much, you can’t remember which side of the argument you are on.

I know very well which side of the argument i am on. Its you who doesn't get it, or, most of the time, find some quotes out of context to build up your bs case🤷‍♂️

But then again, if you took me serious when i responded to you with "X person hacked my account", i don't know what to tell you.

I actually don't think the launch was that bad... and i do think they should have already updated a few things like map rotation and whatnot, i don't think the game is as "dead" as this thread claims, but they really need to speed things up, releasing content 6 months after launch on a "game as a service" is not acceptable by any means.

Yawn…, another salty halo thread! Tell me what Sony fps has anywhere near the scores of halo, let alone it’s player count?

They are upset that Halo Infinite is doing so well. Still top 4 most played game on Xbox and most successful Halo to date.

Isn't it just way more people playing the game via MS store instead of Steam?

I first downloaded the game with gamepass to try it out a bit. Then I noticed you could play via Steam instead, so I downloaded the game on Steam. Then when the campaign arrived I noticed Steam doesn't know you have gamepass, and doesn't let you play the campaign without buying the game. Then I went back to gamepass.

I bet there's more who did that, or just didn't bother getting the game on Steam at all.

Whatever, not very surprising if people leave the game, given how barebones it felt.

@xhawk27: and yet people give Sony crap for 70 games that are 100 completed at launch.

These gamers praise this and don't mind that it takes months to a year to feel completed.

The only reason Halo: Infinite isn't the top-dog on Steam is the fact you can just play it on Game Pass and anyone who wanted to buy already did through W10 store and the sad part is. Halo: Infinite doesn't support cross-save and as such, if you played it on W10/Game Pass, all your progress cannot be carried onto Steam.

@x_hedon: how is it the most successful halo? I remember people playing halo 2 for years and years. Without people dropping. Everyone still saying it feels bare bones. The day when Xbox games feel completed day one. Mean while Sony first party has games that feel there is to much content. Most uncompleted halo to date just saying.

MS said it's the most successful. And since it's been out, it continues to be in the top 4 most played games.

Sadly, all developers are giving us incomplete games these days. It sucks. Sony does it, which pisses me off. MS does it, which pisses me off.

@x_hedon: name a game that was not complete from sonys team. Not trying to be a fanboy here.

Ghost single player was completed and didn't expect the online portion. Days gone was completed with a few bugs. Hzd2 is going to a complete package to. Returnal they added a way to save it during the run because players wanted it. Don't put this its not complete on nin or Sony. Its either third party or Xbox.

Apex never fell off like this, neither did Warframe. The others aren't Gaas games, and the gaas market is far different today than it was in 2017. Halo MP is lost in a sea of F2P options.

Sadly, Sony games don't feel complete, and they also add microtransactions. It seems that Sony is actually now focused more than ever on games as a service than ever. Enter Bungie as one of the first massive commitments to that.

6 years is more than enough time to put out a complete game, Gaas or not. Also not sure where you're getting the idea making a Gaas game is more difficult than a single player title or any other type of MP title.

Nothing to explain. You took that quote from the thread related to Sony acquiring the studio.

You take me so seriously, that in many occasions you save my quotes and post them six plus months later to make a point. Let that sink in sealionact.

Fortnite/Apex/Warzone have conditioned players to expect constant updates, content, and gameplay evolution. Halo Infinite doesn't even have all of its modes... The battle pass is bare bones, and have they changed ANYTHING to the multiplayer yet? 343 is too slow for todays gamer. By the time they finish the game, there may not be much of an audience left...

I agree, the game should not have been released incomplete. I do realize that Covid, the first open world Halo game, and creating the new engine added to the time it took to make the game. But if it wasn't ready, they should have delayed it to winter of 2022 after more beta testing of the MP, having co-op ready, forge ready, and the ability to select chapters/missions.

I honestly would have been happy with more maps, a progression system that works, and better custom game/playlist options. A service record would be welcomed as well, the SP side of the game seems far more polished even with the lack of coop.

Oh do note within Apex season they do events like the recent Raider events to get exclusive limited skins and new smaller maps like arena map or limited time events like the "train defend" limited time event during christmas holidays. The game is constantly updated actually.

have they changed ANYTHING to the multiplayer yet?

yeah, they changed the progression and added a couple more modes like Tactical Slayer.. still i agree that it's going too slow compared to the leaders like Fortnite and Apex..

This is indeed a long-term play though.. "free-to-play multiplayer", "10 year lifespan", "Halo Infinite", etc, etc.. it's clear they plan to stick this out for the foreseeable future and games like Rainbow 6 Siege, Final Fantasy XIV, and even Sea of Thieves show that over time, the intended success can be achieved..

Currently, Is the game fun? yep, but that's subjective.. Are players leaving? yep, happens to nearly every game.. is more content needed? yep.. Is more content on the way?.. yep.. is Halo Infinite still living rent free in the minds of cows? yep.. Is it way too early to say "Halo Infinite is dead"?.. most definitely..

Oh do note within Apex season they do events like the recent Raider events to get exclusive limited skins and new smaller maps like arena map or limited time events like the "train defend" limited time event during christmas holidays. The game is constantly updated actually.

Halo Infinite has been doing the same.. they've had 3 events like that already during this first season.. the biggest complaints are the exact same thing we hear for every new multiplayer game: "we want more content"..

eventually, the content is added and people totally forget that it was ever an issue..

Those games don't update constantly. The have season which usually last 3 months.

Yep. Apex new season starting in a few hours. New hero, skin, game mode. Its actually the 12th season so the content is pretty high.

I remember Apex being pretty bare bones when it first launched and getting a fair bit of hate for it's first season being underwhelming.

I remember when people bitched about having content ready at launch (it's a scam! they are charging us for content that is already done!). And now that bitch that they can't buy content because it's not done. 😬

That was indeed the case, but people in charge of the game was Respawn, not the useless 343i. The difference in talent between these two studios is massive.

Apex is a great game but Halo plays better in my opinion. But I do enjoy both.
