Doesn't mean I'm not here :P

@Maroxad: Danganronpa is full of panty shots, awful attempts at humor, mystery, and pathos, and has some of the most one-dimensional archetypes of all time. Both of them.
Are you crazy? Danganronpa is one of my favorite games. Get outta here, ya anime hater!
@khoofia_pika in a good or bad way?
I heard DanganRonpa is really good. And I am highly considering getting one of the first 2.
Well, it's keeping me intrigued enough that I want to keep playing, just to find out what the hell's going on, so I suppose it's a good way.
You should definitely get DanganRonpa. The first one. Get the second one only if you like the first one, because everything the first one does, the second one takes a few steps further- so the first game will sort of let you ease into DR's bizarre little world.
Other than 999, DanganRonpa is definitely my favourite visual novel, but I will warn you that there's still plenty in it that I do not like- the characters aren't characters as much as they are caricatures, the game tends to go a bit over the top with its bizarreness, and some of the plot twists feel a bit too convenient. And all of that goes double for the second game so far.
It's definitely an enjoyable experience if you don't take the game too seriously though- it doesn't take itself seriously, so you shouldn't either. :P
And yeah, definitely get the first one before the second one. It's not like you'll be totally lost if you play DR2 first, but from what I've heard of the game (and from my own experience so far), you'll have a much better understanding of the finer narrative points if you've played the first one already. Plus, the atmosphere in the first game is amazing.
TW3 Enhanced Edition appears on a French retailer site.
I know it. Worth the wait.
The retailer listings were apparently posted in error, a CD Projekt Red representative said on Twitter. "There's no Enhanced Edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that we are aware of," marketing lead Michał Platkow-Gilewski explained. "This is some kind of error that we will look into."
stop waiting

Pay no attention to the enhanced edition behind the curtain, keep buying the game..
@lostrib: I'll wait until summer. I want a complete version of the game with patches, DLC included. I refuse to succumb to my desires lol. I'll continue to wait.

I'm going to take a guess we lost. It's a shame the season didn't go any farther than 2012 did, but I'm glad we have a strong team again. Kirk has grown a lot as a QB and while we still need to develop, (especially our defense) I believe in the next few years we'll be a postseason team frequently. :)
Finished season 1 of Prison Break and dropped that waste of time and just watched the first episode of House of Cards. Best decision I've made this year so far.
Just saw the ending to Fiaa Emburem x SMT Idolmaster. I know the Wii-U is dead but come on, hasn't it suffered enough?
Played an hour and a half of The Phantom Pain. Impressions:
So, yeah, too early to say, well, literally anything about the game right now, but it makes a great first impression.
Anyone got any tips for me on how I should play it? Some general suggestions? Bonds I should develop, playstyle, Mother Base R&D, and so on?

DanganRonpa is great, ignore the haters.
... which is ironic when it's said to you.
I don't remember ever seeing a single panty shot in the first DanganRonpa (Danganronpa? Dangan Ronpa?). :S

There's one in 2. A grand total of one shot.
Boohoo, it's enough to destroy some people's innocence, it seems like.

I didnt have a good first impression of MGSV. The opening dragged on for too long, with forced crawling and other nonsense. The first mission with just the barebone tools just felt like a run of the mill Stealth-Action hybrid. The game was awesome after that.
Some tips:
- Night time infiltration is really potent. It allows you to quickly move from cover to cover in the shadows moreso than in broad daylight where crawling from bush to bush with the right camoflage is optimal.
- If you have Ground Zero's you should have access to an early research item of a Sneak Suit, which suppresses sound generated from movement. It's a strong early game upgrade and works well for night infiltrations.
- Try to hold up or use CQC when you can on isolated enemies. Saves you alot of uptime and sustainability on your low durability suppressors.
- Running and then quick diving on enemies tackles them to the ground. It's a maneuver that I've found useful throughout the game. They dont put the area in combat alert if you hit them just as they see you.
- If you need a refresh on suppressors, tranq ammo or ammo in general. You can call in a supply drop. It takes time for the supplies to reach you, but to speed up this process. if you call one on top of you, you can use the Phantom Cigar to speed up the time. The supplies will hit you on the head, taking the Boss off his sweet cigar induced trance and resume time with the supplies in front of you.
- D-Horse is useful for moving people that you want rescued/captured but cant fulton. Just put the body on the back of the horse and you can do whatever to head to an extraction point. Then at the extraction point, call the horse and it basically teleports the NPC, saving you from having to carry it slowly on your back from point to point.
- Early game, if you want to take out two enemies grouped together from mid range with a tranquilizer, shoot the first guy on the leg/arm/chest. Target the next guy, wait till the first target you hit falls to sleep and hit the 2nd guy on the head. This puts both of them to sleep at the same time without much suspicion being triggered. Have to be pretty confident in your precision with this one and can chain this with more enemies in a group, but it's useful until you get D-Dog or Quiet.
- Decoy's are really good, if you trigger one if an enemy is on top of it, it knocks them out. Magazines are nice too and is free, if you're fancy, you can peg them on an enemy's head to knock them out.
- If you're crafty enough. C4's are a good way to take out an enemy gunship early game. Find an enemy, knock them out and attach a C4 on them and time a fulton to launch up to the Gunship and trigger the C4. Timing the fulton takes some practice, but the radius of a C4 is pretty large.
- Smoke Grenades and Boxes you've crawled out of are good ways to stop a vehicle without alerting them of an attack.
- Do the Legendary Gunsmith missions. You'll be happy once you complete them and recruit him. It gives you access to a medium durability suppressor quite early as well as silenced tranquilizer sniper rifle early too.
- Dont be afraid to sell stuff. Particularly Biological Materials and Common Metal. Keep your fuel resources, you'll need alot of it.
- When completing a Side op. You can go back to your ACC instantly via the pause menu.
- Each area has a remote power generator. Try to memorize where they are if you prefer night infiltrations since you'll be revisiting areas quite abit in the game.
- Be careful when shooting out light sources. If an enemy is near or underneath a light, it alerts them of an attack
- If you want to interrogate an enemy that's knocked out. You dont have to wait till they get up for you to grab them. Wake them up then aim your gun while they're on the ground, they'll be available for interrogation.
@illmatic87: Thanks man, gonna have to try to keep that all in mind, lol.
Do I need a 100% Ground Zeroes file to get the bonuses you mentioned?
@charizard1605: crouch/crawl the entire time during daylight missions. Use the desert stuff camouflage to blend.
Use the D-horse trick where you put people you rescue on him then run far away and call him. He will instantly teleport to you with the person.
Finish the gunsmith missions in the side ops fast to get the weapon customise ability.
Use smoke grenade in groups of enemies when they are alerted or close to catching you. Use the night vision thing to see through it and CQC them.
You can also throw a smoke grenade in a vehicle (recommended when your smoke is upgraded to high level so that it will last longer) and just go through the gates of enemies.
When you snipe from afar be careful if the enemy gets suspicious they will send people to your location or even shoot at where you are but still no alert until someone discovers you. Change your position or move and ambush the ones who do come to check who is shooting.
Use bodies or sleeping ones to lure others to come and headshot them.
Use D-horse to block tanks on the tank mission ex filtration. Or just to be safe bring a vehicle with you.
Shoot bears in the head to make them sleep fast. Takes 5 shots at least. And leap to dodge.
Also whenever an enemy is suspicious you can leap. Covers more ground and doesn't alert them. Very useful during day and night missions. The leap is essential to your gameplay so try to be creative with it.
Use d-horse as camouflage while you walk by a base to avoid getting alert.
Interrogate enemies to get blueprint and other items locations.
You don't have to 100% GZ to get the stuff in m experience. I got the GZ sound suppressing suit and Kojima I think lol and some other stuff.
I think I am in love with Dark Souls 2. How the world is designed and connected doesn't make any sense but I still enjoy my time with it a lot despite some of the terrible level design and enemy placement. Every Souls game had this issue, even Demon's Souls my favourite one with the swamp level. It's issues were enemies placement of course. Other than that, I love how every area and it's design. Aesthetically it's gorgeous as well in my opinion. All souls game have those qualities too. But demons souls is special. I love revisiting an area and just look around.
Also it's so easy to use iframes to your advantage. I hate the two tiger boss fight simply because of how you have to reach them through a snow storm and the visibility is almost none and all of what you see is white and few brown buildings. Lost 200k souls and gave up on this boss fight. If you are gonna design an area for me to go through, you better make it visible or I won't take your bullshit. It's enough that you can't see but thunder dear/horses attack me in the middle of no visibility? Hell no. So yeah first time I skip a boss fight in a souls game. Glad it's optional too because that area was terrible. I dislike snow levels in general too. I like my games to have Color and not have white smeared all over my screen. Very few games do snow well.

I believe I still have some money remaining on my PS account. Maybe I will try getting it. Tommorow that is, today, most of my efforst are spent on preparing for tommorow's exam.
TW3 new patch is 18GB.
I still await that GOTY edition or complete or whatever even if it's on two discs or something.
Just saw the ending to Fiaa Emburem x SMT Idolmaster. I know the Wii-U is dead but come on, hasn't it suffered enough?
I'm assuming you saw that GAF thread.
A) That's not the ending.
B) That cutscene's amazing in how it can't possibly be any more cheesy if you tried and I'm totally looking forward to seeing NoA try to put it in English.
C) You should watch the commercial for the first Fire Emblem.
So there's no release date for Fire Emblem: Fates in PAL regions.
yeah **** Nintendo.
NoE: Hey, at least we're not Atlus EU. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Yeah, sucks. Curious as to why PAL gets continually screwed. I'm aware of EFIGS, but unless they're going J -> E -> FIGS (i.e. their FIGS translators and editors sit on their asses waiting for an English script rather than work with the Japanese script) or unless their editors are just slow at their jobs, I'd think they oughta be on par with NoA speed-wise.
Hm, now that I think about it, does NoE even have their own version of Treehouse? Or do they contract that shit out to whoever's available?

If you like the twist, then you will probably enjoy the story for what it is. There isn't a lot of story in The Phantom Pain, at least not until you get to the half way mark.
The first couple hours of the game is heavy on cinematics. They're definitely long stretches which are definitely sparse in terms of story.
In terms of gameplay tips:
-Being in a mission and simply free roaming in the open world is different. You can always return to the ACC from the pause menu when free roaming, you don't have to call down a chopper and wait every single time.
-Listen to the tapes: The majority of the games story is in the tapes. You can listen to them while you manage your base or play around with side ops
-Use Phantom Cigars: They're not just to speeding up the time of day. You can use them to get supplies, buddies, and helicopter rides much faster.
-Return to motherbase every so often: You'll get a bonus cutscene after a few missions in the field.
-Don't focus too much on Side ops: Do all the unique side ops, ignore most of the repetitive ones ( Eliminate the Tank unit, Prisoner Extraction, etc. ) The repeated side ops are mainly just for getting extra soldiers and resources. They serve as nice little missions that can connect you to the main story missions.

Did that guy really went SS or are people just joking? I couldn't decide when watching the cutscene.
*Sigh* I'm not all that pleased with that game...

Golden glows are the typical sign of going super saiyan. That cutscene's also near the end of the game where you'd expect people to go super saiyan. Diagnosis: Totally went super saiyan.

I'm (mostly) over it -- really, if it was gonna be an SRPG, Intelligent Systems may as well have done it themselves. Told it's good by Atlus RPG standards. Still, I wonder what could've been.
@Chozofication: my mistake. All the patches combined including this one makes it an 18GB patch. So if I were to update the game from a previous update to this one it's not an 18GB patch just all of them combined. Still it sucks that game patches are bigger than games we got last Gen. No way I'm seeking a Digital Only future with things going this way. Then again it's also good that the developers clearly care enough to fix bugs and prominent issues unlike Bethesda with their games.
@charizard1605:
Everyone else nailed the main points, and some good ones at that.
I'll just give you something more broad. Don't become a slave to the scoring system or the whole resource/soldier fultoning game. Just play the game how you want and experiment often. It's not that S ranking missions and gathering resources can't be satisfying in their own ways, but you don't want that shit to be constantly looming over you in a game that's all about freedom of play.
Beyond that (Not sure if it's been mentioned) be sure to check the sub-objectives list after completing a mission. The immediate/obvious benefits of these sub-objectives are securing things like specialists, blueprints, increasing heroism, etc... but more importantly, some of these sub-objectives can completely change the trajectory of a mission in some cool ways. Of course your end goal will remain the same, but the path to getting there can feel like a new experience and you'll come to appreciate aspects of the level design that you otherwise may not have noticed.
