What are the Zerg?omgimbaCompletelyvalid question bound to be met with ridicule from hermits. Anyway, they are the enemies in the Starcraft games.
The thing is the flood cant be stopped.Wasdie
The Flood can be stopped. In fact, if one Covenant Elite with outdated Arbiter armor can kill five infected Flood zombies with a few shots of an UNSC pistol, the Zerg will have no problem mowing them down. Hell, Seems like the destruction of a Halo seems ample enough. The only reason why they survived for this long is the zealous Convenant thinking Halos are religious artifacts used for "The Great Journey". If it was the other way around with the Convenant seeing that Halos are infested rings of mass destruction, they would have blown it up years ago then go out for pizza afterwards.

thought they are presented as "villians" in the story itself....they are deffinetly not the enemies since they have an entire campaign to them.
The flood win this hands down. This shouldn't even be close. Ever seen 28 Days/Weeks later? The flood is like that- only harder to kill.musicalmac
That's bad, but not as bad as the Zerg.
The Zerg are like the Flood, but more adaptable, less reliant on other organic life, and stronger. The Flood are tenacious and really difficult to fully eliminate, but the Zerg are quite simply stronger and more numerous. Considering that there are ways to avoid Flood infection, and considering how quickly the Zerg can change, the Flood would lose in the end.

The Zerg controls several resource heavy planets, defeated two advanced races at the same time (The Terran and the Protoss would just shamelessly use and abuse the UNSC and Covenant) and evolve on the fly.
Oh, and if you think the Flood comes in a large amount, you obviously haven't seen a zerg rush.
The zerg would win because the cerebrates would just keep spawning more and more broods. it isnt exactly easy to kill a cerebrate either.laughingman42
I doubt they have access to Dark Templar, either. Besides, the Zerg can just evolve immunity in a day or so, and be done with it.

The Locust would own those Im a Gears supporter and that was the dumbest post ive seen this month what can these Zerg do ? Where were you the last 8 years? The force trembles, as if 50 million South Koreans all cried out in terror.. How someone could not know what the zerg is amazes meThug_Pikachu sorry about the mean people! helpful hint for the future, dont take up for someone thats been banned. Helpful hint #2, go buy starcraft, its awesome.
I had to pick the Zerg. You just can't argue with that.
Although, OP, the Chimera are a plague as well. They spread to humans, effectively making their armies out of everyone they kill. They master all battle tactics they are faced with, and they have some ridiculously powerful creatures. I can't say whether they would "beat" the flood, but don't underestimate the chimera if you haven't played the game. They are a pretty wicked enemy.

He said that the Locust(gears of war)can defeat the Zergs after learning a little bit about the Zergs through:lol:, but yes not everyone going to know Starcraft. And people shouldn't really say to someone who doesn't know something,"never post here again" or something like that.

Only that High Templars get smacked around without any front line support.
Close call between Zerg and Flood. We've never seen a flood outbreak that had time to develop, but in Halo 3 one elite (the arbiter?)mentions all it takes is a single spore to wipe out whole civilisations. Without giving away any more spoilers than I have to, you can also see that the flood have undergone major changes too. (I think thats pretty minimal spoilers).
