The joycons look horrible for long usage as a mouse. Watch nintendo sell an accessory that will make it look like a mouse for better ergonomics.
Now you can fold your own mouse out of cardboard!
Games better be all on the cart for that price...
Will everyone else go to $80 over this too?
Will GTA6 be cheaper than Mario Kart? 🤣
You can register interest with Nintendo online for preorders.

Ugh, lame. Apparently you have to had Nintendo online membership.
Thanks for the link, just registered for me to get the Bundle
The visuals look better than the Xbox Series S, because the Switch 2 can do 4K, and Metroid Prime 4 Beyond has 4K 60 FPS! Something a lot of devs struggle to do with this gen
Xbox Series and base PS5 both use FSR for upscaling;
Switch 2 will be using DLSS, for all we know it's rendering internally at 720p.
Doesn't seem so, it could be rendering at 1080p and upscaled to 4K
Still going to get physical games for the Switch 2 despite the price increase.
Nintendo got me to up my NSO subscription from standard for the GameCube addition.

Tariffs do have an effect on physical and they keep the prices the same between physical and digital. I too will still buy physical Nintendo games as I still don't trust them handling online gaming. And yes, NSO also got me sold on GC and I sure as hell cannot wait to replay Star War Rogue Squadron games on it! And hopefully, Viewtiful Joe games too!
@Chutebox: Ok, thanks. Well Nintendo has said they have some plan to stop scalpers so hopefully it will work out.
An additional Dock Set costs $110… That feels a little steep. I guess I’ll only get 2 extra docks for now 🙄
Registered my interest in ordering a system on Nintendo’s website. Also going to see if I can get a pre-order at my local Best Buy and Walmart to cover my bases.
Prices here in Canada are:
- $700 for the Mario Kart World bundle
- $630 for the standard
I went with the standard as I want to get Mario Kart World on physical and I think the bundle is with the digital version.
Damn, Duskbloods is apparently multiplayer focused. Womp womp. If I had a preorder for Switch 2 I'd cancel it.
They really nailed the 3rd-party support here. I know some people here will go "oh great, a lot of games I already played on other platforms"; but I think what a lot of people fail to realize: Switch 2 has a lot of catching up to do with much of the hottest 3rd-party titles in recent years that were not possible on the Switch.
While Switch 2 plays that catchup, this looks very promising that going forward, many of the biggest 3rd-party titles will land on the Switch 2 possibly the day every other platform gets these games launched.
I'm very hopeful for the future of 3rd-party on the Switch 2.
@girlusocrazy: There's no way From wouldn't make it so you can't have a solid single player experience.
.....at least I really hope so.
@Chutebox: Same. I played the beta a few times and it basically made me uninterested in the final game.
@nod_eclipse_: That's the case with Nightreign tho...
Really? Haven't played it. If that's the direction From is going....me cry. Me much cry.
@nod_eclipse_: Yeah the solo mode is just multi-player but alone, which is not enough for me because I want to take my time and explore and build my character. Instead it is just like run-based on a map where item locations are randomized.
The best you can do is keep some kind of currency and then get some buffs for your next run, but it's still 45 minutes broken up into 3 chunks and you're scrambling for materials for when you face the boss.
I hope that's not what we're getting here, but it could be.
The pricing is rough on pretty much everything. Some very expensive games. Console costs more than it should really (A steam deck is cheaper and that's a frickin PC....and sold at a profit).
....But I'm still getting it. The new Donkey Kong looks class. Switch 2 version of TOTK (haven't played it yet). Kirby, Mario Kart, Switch Backlog to play on it. Even at 500 bucks, it will earn it's keep over the years.
I know...I know. I'm part of the problem.
Game prices is outrageous and lost my hype, still getting the Bundle because I refuse to pay $80 for 1 game
It was an impressive show would have been more into it if the £450 was for a oled. Going back to LCD will be tough.
Love what they showed. Launch-window lineup looks amazing.
And I won't be getting it, probably ever :( just don't see the value in spending that kind of money
Nintendo's Price announcement is poor and given the price of Mario Kart World gave me a bad taste as it is making people believe that all Switch 2 game are going to be priced at $80-90
