I am waiting for the real price of the Switch 2 for the US.😂
I'm sorry but I am completely lost with what you just said...
Your calling gamers fickle because Nintendo doesn't release strong hardware and just now released a console much weaker than the Series S at 2x the price?...
I genuinely believe Nintendo fanboys are fickle by definition saying they don't care about graphics or ports but then try to pass the Switch 2 of as monster and talking about ports which are running worse than any current generation console in terms of visuals and framerates... And when pressed on the point basically pull what you and the user above you responded with.
By definition Nintendo fans are fickle in this thread and forum.
I don't know what you guys are trying to accomplish by trying to convince people that the Switch 2 is powerful when its clearly running games on par with a Steam deck and other handhelds... Which do not give a great experience in AAA games, 1080p low 30fps, which DF has already mention with Hogwarts running at 720p and looking barely better than a PS4 version.
From the visuals I have been looking into 3rd party games, maybe you should get your eyes checked because most of what they have shown has better visuals than the Series S and almost near parity of the PS5. Not sure how you think it's not nearly the Steam Deck and digital foundry doesn't know squat
Yup...
Its missing DOF, Shadows, and is running lower resolution than Series S.
Some claiming that NSW2 is like XSS because Street Fighter 6 looks better on NSW2 is dumb. Just as a reminder, PS4 version of Street Fighter 6 also looks better than on XSS.
Not to mention that the Series S has a 1440p 30FPS quality mode in Cyberpunk and a 60FPS 1080p mode which run flawless now after patch 2.2.
Where as the Switch has one mode a 40FPS 1080p mode with resolution scaling in handheld where DF measured 540p at worst in the footage they have seen.
540p resolution scaling.
And all we have is cutscene footage and it still can't maintain 1080p in handheld.
Cyberpunk took 7 weeks to be ported to the Switch 2, it's not even the full final build, not even DLSS is turned on. We'll see the end results at launch

They still have to unlock its hidden power right?😏
Already been debunked.
The code for the demo they showed was 7 weeks old.
I swear these fanboys make this forum hilarious and frustrating.

I'm sorry but it has.
It being a 7 week old being and being interpreted by people as if its only been in development for 7 weeks... Is in fact it being debunked.
We have no idea how long its been in development.
I take it from the comprehension you have and Nintendo fans that these kinds of mistakes in brain activity happen often.
I just want to add this logic of Nintendo fans when it comes to gaming and graphics...

The Goomba fallacy is a reasoning mistake. When there are two contradicting opinions in one internet community, some readers think that everyone in the community is stupid, because the opinions are contradictory. They do not realise that there are separate people posting in the community, with separate opinions and beliefs. In other words, two groups with contradictory views are perceived as one group that contradicts itself.
It is the same people.
This isn't YouTube comments or facebook with 100+ million posters and users.
No this is GameSpot System Wars... Its been the same fanboys for the past 15 years posting, contradicting opinions.
Nice try though... Thought I was new here. I know you all.
@FireEmblem_Man: Let's be serious about this. CP2077 came out December 2020, the game itself is 4 years old and pretty much every gamer has already played it by now. Hell, why even play CP2077 on Switch 2 when it should be play on PC? Whatever the reason, some of us aren't buying Switch 2 just for CP2077, we're buying it just for Nintendo exclusives. You fans are taking CP2077 Switch 2 version way too seriously.

The people who are indifferent to graphics are not the people hyping up the 1440p Zelda.
You tried, you failed.

Its a console launch cycle and hype window these fanboys don't know how to be serious. They're in a impenetrable snow globe of delusion/denial and self loathing.
They have a hard time accepting that Switch 2 is giving them last generation levels of performance... Which anyone with a basic understanding of hardware would have told them no s*** its a 10w handheld.
They are still holding out on two more months of development time and then the Switch 2 version will be PS5 levels with ray tracing and DLSS... That will compete with mid tier PC's because some developer during a game show hosted by Nintendo said it vaguely.
Honestly I can't... I left this place once. I thought these people got better but some of these accounts are 15-20 years old making these in there 30's or late 20's?... Shocking levels of IQ. Would probably avoid them in public type of people.

I prefer better framerates to better graphics myself. Switch 2 able to play games in 60fps+ was the winning feature here. For the longest time, most Nintendo fans hardly care about better graphics. They just want games that looks good and fun but most of all, at least stable framerates.

I wont be buying CP2077 on the Switch 2. But considering how well it runs on the hardware it is running on, it is nonetheless an impressive and commendable effort. And I have respect for CDPR for that port.
In my case, odds are I will get the Switch 2 version to run better than I would running it on my PC. But then again... I just don't have any interest in CP2077 so it is a pass nonetheless.

I agree with what you say.
When I made a choice between pickng between PC version and switch version, my choice usually boiled down to...
Do I want no achievements (positive in my book)?
Do I want steady 60 fps?
Usually I went with the 60 fps, but now with the Switch 2. I hopefully can eat my cake and have it too.

Nope.
Its literally you...
Switch 2 from what I have been seeing looks better than Xbox Series S
Yeah, I think that is pretty much what made me go from cautious to wanting one again.
I have plenty of cash anyways. Each month I have a surplus of around 300 USDs worth of Swedish Krona, and that was BEFORE the raise.
Only reason I am not preordering is because there is no MSRP here. And stores are undercutting eachother. I will save money by buying the Switch 2 on release, rather than preordering.
Same old same old System wars.
Don't care about graphics?... But focus on them on every launch.

Nice try... but see my response to davillain.
I am more interested in a steady frame rate than I am in graphics or resolution. Late Switch games ended up running terribly. Hence why many of us are interested in the Switch 2.
Next time, try not jumping to conclusions.
smh... another swing and miss from Grey_Eyed_Elf

No...
I don't need to try, your sheer defence of a piece of hardware... the years you have been here, my experience in this forum.
Buddy were in our 30's how are you still a child?
@Grey_Eyed_Elf: Grasping for straws? You are coming across as rather desperate. Seriously... Look at the sentence below.
"Diminishing returns on better specs is quite noticeable."
Let me help you out. My point with that post is that we are at a point where due to diminishing returns. The benefits of stronger hardware are becoming less and less noticeable. This has been a pretty consistant theme with my posts for the past 5 years or so.
In fact, if you thought about it for more than 2 seconds rather than desperately trying to fit anything into your narrative, it would be appearant that that post is consistant with the whole better graphics aren't that relevant. The PS5 version looks better, but based on those two images. How much of an impact on your experience will it even have at this point?
I must commend you for one thing though, you are giving my eye muscles quite the exercise from all the rolling they do.
Edit: So again... Graphics don't matter. Because as the Elden RIng comparison shows. The experience is barely even improved by it.
What what *IS* nice is not having switch games not chug along at 20 fps with even worse dips.

Again...
Seems like your either stupid or think I am.
You using "diminishing returns" to describe the difference between two pieces of hardware not even in the same ball park is a cope and a weak form of arguing where you are using a backhanded compliment, trying to level the playing field to skew to your preferred console.
You clearly are focusing on visuals.
Why hide it?
And why get defensive when Digital foundry says all these games are looking like PS4 versions?
I think your rather pathetic to be honest. I came back here for free cheep entertainment while I am away on business, plan on leaving very soon.
@Grey_Eyed_Elf: Stop trying to save face by hurling more conjectures. Or doubling down, after you once again misinterpretted something.
Diminishing Returns is NOT some cope but rather a pretty consistant thing I have been saying the entirety of gen 9; I used it back then to point out to even compare the PS4 and PS5, back when the PS5 was new. Its also been my primary reason I havent bothered upgrading my GPU.
Your defensiveness after your gotcha attempts failed do not help your case at all.
As for your insults, to quote a wise man: "As a general rule, it’s far easier to feel insulted when you respect the insulter."
Barring Gen 4 to 5. Every single generational leap has been less impressive than the last.
Which again brings me to my point. Switch 2 hardware improvements are not exciting because of graphics, but because later Switch 1 games ended up having terrible performance. To the point where it negatively impacted gameplay.

However, hands on experience indicates that there are framerate hurdles. I think that is worth noting.
Former Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida was recently asked for his thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2's reveal, and his response was... not entirely exuberant! https://t.co/DcoPyqx6Xjpic.twitter.com/OAuqJmEBXp
